I really enjoyed the end of the video where he said, “Homeland security is when your citizens are armed and ready to protect their families and neighborhoods”.

Thanks, Walter. Leave it to you to scoop the world! :)

Duncan Hunter is comfortable with his audience, as usual. I just don’t know how he can keep up his extremely busy campaign schedule and get his work done in Congress as well, but he does! An amazing man!

Powerful! I especially liked how he directly stated his “litmus test” for judicial nomenees.

Oh, and of course everything about the fence.

It takes me a good while to download videos on my dial up, but I’ve started to check out the links you posted.

Still watching....

There’s really something about this guy! Something that reminds me so much of Reagan. Something like being a true patriot, and having no self interest - doing everything out of love for God, family, and country.

There’s something about him that seems so pure and righteous. Something that I thought I saw in GWB, but haven’t seen since Reagan. Someone with a practical idealism, who is set on always doing the right thing, and can’t be bought.

There’s something I think I see - a man who has a date with destiny like Reagan did. A man who is truly humble and really believes in what he says. A man who is man enough, and American enough, to be able to say the 21st century equivalent of “Tear down this wall.” A man not out to create a legacy, but by being who he is, he’ll have one - a great one. I hope I’m right, and I’m starting to think I am.

Thanks for the link. I didn't get to see that one when first broadcast. Do we have any early rumors about second quarter fundraising? I meant to give but had too many things happening during the last week of June. We're going to need a strong showing in the straw poll also.

Bill

I’m afraid many other people were also too busy to give.

Yes, I wasn’t really thinking about the “end of the quarter,” and then I received a letter from the campaign in the last week or so of June. I kept meaning to send something, but I was also packing for a trip. I’ll see what the report shows for second quarter and then decide how much to give. I hope he’ll have enough to be competitive in Iowa.

I found it interesting how Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter kept referring to each other’s points, and complimenting each other at the candidates’ forum. They seem to like each other, at least policy-wise. Tancredo gave a real stemwinder of a speech, and Duncan Hunter followed Tancredo. They were the last two speakers, making for a nice one-two punch at the very end of the forum.
