LOL! It is amazing that you are still alive to talk about it. Do you tell that story to your kids? Do they believe it?
Yeah, I have to admit we had friends who thought we were lucky because we actually got more than 150 miles away from home. Vacation for most of them was a rustic cabin on a lake in Northwest Minnesota, a couple hours away.

Kids today have no clue how good they have it.Ain't that the truth, they can't imagine having to travel across country for 18 hours straight with 4 kids having to share one backseat of a '65 Plymouth Valiant. And there wasn't any scenery to look at along I-10 either.

You were lucky. My 4 siblings and I were duct-taped to the undercarriage of our '59 oldsmobile. I was lucky if I got the spot next to the muffler on cold winter days. Of course, peeing was not a problem....;)
Seriously, though I do remember hearing about my grandmother going through a snowy mountain pass in a covered wagon loaded with all their worldly belongings.

On top of that the Dog there after enjoyed his place. I think we as nation are becoming too soft what I mean even human don’t want to exert themselves.
Before all of our continence the people use to do remarkable things even animals!
