Well, in the U.K. there are many unarmed police in that they don't carry guns. Often, all you see on the cop on the beat is what I remember being called a "billy stick".

I understand that more and more bobbies are being armed, though. Apparently, not that many, that's why newspaper reports refer to "armed police."

I was thinking the same thing. I calculate ratios daily due to weight differentials of my patients. One minute it may be a one half kilogram chihuahua and the next a 1000kg bull. One animal may be 5-15mg/kg and the next species .1 to 1mg/kg....
