You are absofreakinlutely correct! I am a native of South Florida - Broward to be exact. All I ever heard was "how they did it up north". In 1999, after 42 years, my family and I left "New South York" and moved to North Central Florida.
It's so nice to be around real Floridians once again, who wave to you, who are pleasant, kind, and still talk with a twang now and then. It reminds me of how it used to be when I was a child growing up in Hollywood, FL.
I hate what all those transplants did to my hometown - the ones who refused to become "Floridians." These same nuts trim the anchor roots of ficus trees, because "they should look like trees in NYC" only to see them fall over in the weakest hurricane.
They never will understand the meaning of "If you build it, they will come" - more roads = more and more people. Problem is, there is no more land to build on. I grew up without A/C - there was less concrete and asphalt, so it wasn't as hot as it is now.
Thankfully, I will always have my memories of the way it was before the influx began...sigh!
I’m gonna hurl! Sickening!
Seriesly, consider the following.
If we can’t have coal, the only other option is nukes.
KEWL!

__ Hello friends of RecallMel.com, The huge response to RecallMel.com has been so overwhelming that its rapid growth has taken me totally by surprise. And this coupled with a poorly timed trip to Boston for the 4th of July really set me back in keeping up with the volume of emails the site is getting. For those of you that have emailed me I have read them all, and I do apologize for the delay in responding to you. It is rapidly being brought under control and I will make every effort to make sure it does not happen again.
I knew that I wanted Senator Martinez removed from office but really did not know how many others believed as I did, and boy did I find out! I have heard you and am now willing to do what is needed to make this goal a reality.
For those of you that had difficulty signing the petition or do not have a unique email address, in a few short days you will have your chance.
There are many problems with an Internet petition and the only way this will ever have a chance to succeed is if we do a traditional Paper Petition. This is mostly because to be legal it will need a valid & verifiable signature. Please do not feel that you wasted your vote on our online petition as in fact the opposite is true. Without your support we would have never really known that the people truly want a real change! In fact please continue to encourage folks to sign the petition in both places.
By July 12th the Paper Petition will be ready for download with instructions for its use & delivery back to us.
Needless to say this is going to be a monumental effort that will require support from all of you. Very soon will be a listing of our needs and ways you can help. Please feel free to contact me should you have an idea for us, for we can only do this together.
And for the dozens of you that have pledged support I not only thank you but will be contacting you all personally over the next few days.
My best to you & yours, Dewey Wallace
