I liked the picture because it hard Sen. McCarthy, too. Ann Coulter restored Sen. McCarthy to his rightful place in history.

Correction: May 27, 2007, Sunday Because of an editing error, an article last Sunday about the conservative movement misstated the outcome of impeachment proceedings in 1998 against President Clinton, whose character conservatives made the focus of the 2000 election. The House of Representatives did indeed impeach him. (The Senate did not convict him of the impeachment charges.)

WASHINGTON — William Jefferson Clinton was impeached on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice Saturday by a divided House of Representatives, which recommended virtually along party lines that the Senate remove the nation’s 42d President from office.
Somebody had better look up what impeachment is.
Liberals can and do reinterpret the constitution to suit thier agenda. Ann C. says in this article that the NYT says there was no impeachment. I didn't read the NYT article but I don't doubt her in the least. Nothing is too outrageous for liberals or their media to claim.

This topic has been picked to death, so I don’t have much to add other than I love the title “Nappy headed Hoax”, lol. Ann has about the sharpest tongue around.

The only times she "fled the scene" in any sense were the three times when the "case" suddenly became an order of magnitude of even more clarity of innocence of the "Durham Boys"; she was absent from her own CNN show at those times and never mentioned the incident in later shows.
I have to look that one up, and I know Tanenhaus is a lib. But his book on Whitaker Chambers was excellent. It came to the conclusion that Chambers was indeed telling the truth and that Hiss was indeed one of Joe Stalin's spies, even though Tanenhaus admitted he set out one the project intent to show the opposite. He became a Chambers admirer by writing that book.

That is correct! Remember before Nifong’s case was dismissed how everyone was wondering why a prosecuetor could continue to bring such a loaded case to trial. What people did not want to say but was hidden beneath the surface was that Nifong wanted this case in front of a black jury. He knew he could get a conviction if that happened.
Kind of reminds me of the scene in the movie Crossroads, where the black bluesman is being hassled by a fat, black sheriff down south. Afterwards, he shakes his head and says the old cliche - the more things change the more it stays the same.
The hoax I am REALLY hoping to see exposed is the racket Eliot Spitzer ran while Attorney General of New York State.
Fear and intimidation as policy will get you just about everything in the short term. If you can successfully keep the watchdogs off your scent, you may stay in position of high power for years.
What was Eliot Spitzer doing? Like Ronnie Earle, he launched investigations without probable cause, an extended fishing expedition, against political opponents (they need not be of a different political party). In exchange for concessions, the “investigations” would be stopped, but only after the rival was sufficiently neutered.
