When it comes to an armed law abiding person against an armed criminal, I'd say two options. Kill, or be killed.

You cannot get more pro-gun than me... but if these three gun shops are violating the law and allowing criminals to obtain firearms, either send them right past Go direct to the darkest, deepest slammer throwing away the key or get a rope! I'll tie the knot and trip the trapdoor!

I cannot speak for your sense of anything if you feel crooks should be allowed to have firearms and anyone who wishes to sell drugs, booze, nuclear materials, nitrogliceryn, etc may...

If gun shops are selling guns to felons, close them down. But the media tries to use a few isolated examples to set national policy. 3/100,000 = statistically insignifcant.

Drug dealers and users have just as much right to have their contractual and product quality disputed adjudicated as any other citizen does. But government enforcement of anti-private-use laws have such a “chilling effect” on users that they feel compelled to take matters into their own hands.

If we can waive laws when it comes to handing out clean needles, we can waive laws with respect to hauling a drug dealer who sold bad dope into court. Now that would be a hoot: drag him into court to enforce an expectation of proper quality and agreed-upon quantity dispute, which would be a damage claim, rather than a criminal charge about what he sold and failed to deliver!

Let the libertarians wrestle with that idea!

When criminals need guns, they have plenty of options in a country with nearly 100,000 licensed gun stores.

Not that long ago, pre Billy Jeff, we had closer to 300,000 licensed gun dealers. Eliminating all those licensees doesn't seem to have reduced crime nearly so much as the move in many states to permitting, with state permission, the good guys, and gals, to carry concealed weapons.

On further reflection... Funny, as far as I know, the conservatives I've know these past 40 years of my adulthood and here on FR these past few years, never ducked a debate on their principals by dropping all intellectual honesty and replied with childish name calling.

Yet, just about every liberal Democrat I've know of jumps to calling anyone who disagrees with them a fascist or a Nazi...

You may call me a Nazi or any other pejorative you wish because saying something foolish only reflects back upon yourself. A Tec-9 submachine gun

A TEC-9 is a semiautomatic pistol. A rather ugly and clunky one to be sure, but it still only fires one time per trigger pull. It was derived from a submachine gun design, but the BATF itself had certified that it was not easily converted to full auto, after having determined that it's predecessor semi-auto, the KG-9 was. From the Modern Firearms & Ammunition site:

The TEC-9 design was started in Sweden, when the Interdynamic AB company of Stockholm developed a relatively simple submachine gun. Since Sweden was a poor market for such product, a subsidiary company Interdynamic was established in Miami (Florida, USA), to market Interdynamic guns in USA. As the full-automatic weapons market in USA is very restrictive, the basic submachine gun was converted in semi-automatic only variant, apparently suitable for civilian US market. This semi-automatic pistol, like its submachine gun predecessor, was a simple blowback design, firing from the open bolt. It was designated Interdynamic KG-9. But, sooner than later, US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) found that this semiautomatic pistol can be easily converted back to full automatic, and restricted it manufacture. Interdynamic redesigned the KG-9 into "closed bolt" design by adding the separate striker, and designated it KG-99. About the same time (mid-1980s) the Interdynamic of USA turned into Intratec Firearms, Inc, based in the same city of Miami (Florida). Intratec initially produced the KG-99 under the designation of TEC-9, but about 1989 renamed it into DC-9. With the introduction of the infamous US Assault Weapons Ban in 1994 the Intratec pistols were prohibited for manufacture (but not for ownership, if made before the ban). Intratec subsequently slightly redesigned the basic design, dropping some "assault" features like the threaded barrel, barrel shroud, and forward pistol grip. In this "post-ban" version the pistol was manufactured and sold as AB-10 (AB stands for After Ban). The AB-10 pistols were sold with 10-round magazines, but still could accept both factory and aftermarket high capacity magazines from its predecessors, TEC-9 and DC-9. There were several manufacturers in US, who made copies of DC-9, such as AA Arms, which produced DC-9 look-alike AP-9 pistols. Like originals, AP-9 pistols were of cheap construction and marginal reliability.

But then, when did the MSM, especially the AP, get anything, particular anything involving firearms, right?

Yet between 1994 and 2002, at least 109 firearms sold by the store were later recovered by New York police.

Notice they don't tell us how many guns were sold by that shop in those 8 years. I'm thinking it's thousands, maybe tens of thousands. Southerners buy lots of guns you know, lots.
