New Birth Control Pill Threatens to Once Again Dupe Women into Abusing Their Bodies, but Fertility Expert Shows it Doesn’t Have to be This Way

WASHINGTON, July 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- "Women no longer need to be slaves to the pharmaceutical industry," said Mercedes Arzú Wilson, president of Family of the Americas Foundation and author of the newly released book, Love & Fertility.

Wilson's new book examines and illustrates a natural method of family planning in an easy to understand format. This scientifically and medically proven, revolutionary method should not be confused with the Rhythm or Temperature Methods. Love & Fertility provides practical information along with the latest scientific research and statistical evaluations from around the world. When used to postpone pregnancy, the method is 98 – 99% effective and has reported exceptional benefits for the marriage. It is also very successful in helping women who have had difficulty conceiving.

Misinformation in the medical profession and the media have failed to warn women that birth control pills, the patches, or injections such as Depo-Provera are dangerous synthetic steroid chemicals. These not only cause an increased risk of blood clots, heart attacks and strokes, but the most notorious side effect of the pill on women has been the dramatic rise of breast cancer, a 40% increase in the last 30 years.

"Far too many people are ignorant about what artificial birth control methods can do, particularly the birth control pills. This is largely because they have not been taught effectively and pharmaceutical companies are not about to teach them." said Wilson. "Plain and simple, a birth control pill is a drug which artificially prevents pregnancy. Women need to realize that dangerous steroid chemicals are involved in artificial methods They should be made aware that there is a simple, natural and effective solution."

Natural Family Planning has long been thought of as 'birth-control for Catholics', but The Ovulation Method, which Wilson teaches in Love & Fertility, can be practiced by any couple. In fact, Wilson's book is now available in 21 languages and has been used widely in countries where natural methods are more appealing to their culture and traditions. The easy-to-follow and beautifully illustrated guide has also been used in countries where illiteracy is high with extraordinary results.

Family of the Americas has also produced a CD-ROM which is a full instructional course on the Ovulation Method that includes animation, video and a high degree of interaction that coaches learners as they chart their daily signs of fertility and infertility.

"The Ovulation Method is one of the best kept secrets of all time. Even Mother Teresa's Sisters in Calcutta, have been successful in teaching the poorest of the poor with a 99% effectiveness rate as reported in the British Medical Journal of September 1993" noted Wilson.

"Women's bodies have been designed to naturally avoid or achieve pregnancy. It's time that this natural method be made available to women who want to keep their bodies healthy and avoid artificial method that are dangerous to them." says Wilson.

Wilson is available for interviews. Please contact Christine Schicker with The Maximus Group at 404-610-8871. Visit the Love and Fertility website at www.babynowbabylater.com.

IMO, one of the big problems with it personally is that, due to my cycle, I can only have sex with my husband less than half the month. While there are.....other options, I don't like my marital sex life being that restricted to certain days. What I used only cost me $3 a month and a $20 annual visit fee, no pharmacist, and no one was getting much money (obviously) from me. No one pushed any method on me, I researched all the options and chose accordingly. Not being a slave to my biological reproduction status was very, very nice.

hey, don't be so skeptical! :oP it truly does work for either conceiving or trying to listen to your body to abstain when one is most probable to conceive!! I have used it. God made out bodies so wonderfully, if we would just listen to them!

Using the chemical stuff not only has the medical issues, but throws a woman's body off from the natural way God meant things to be and leaves it out of whack for quite some time!

It means listening carefully to your body. God made our bodies so unique! I am not refering to you, in this, luckystar, but I think we live in such a "fast food" society, that a lot of people don't want to take the time to understand the method, listen to their body, and follow it. It is easier to pop a pill or take a shot, and people don't want to be inconvenienced.

I think they miss out on a lot that way, along with the other issues.

The medical profession supports promiscuous sex with no restraints, and they also make a large profit off of all the chemicals they are putting in womens' bodies.

Many people want to have sex without consequences so I can understand why the medical profession caters to this demand. I don't really see a problem with it. Their lives, their choice, especially when it involves contraception and not abortion.

single women, not all though, want to be able to have sex like men. Whenever they darn well choose, without the fear of pregnancy. That is what the feminazi believe

How come it takes a book and video to learn the difference between the consistancys of a vaginal discharge?

LOL! Well it helps to have a “heads up” when she is going to be emotional. That is usually a good time to start working on the garden or something else outside.

My daughter is volunteering at a Boys/Girls Club for a college class. One of the kids asked her how many brothers and sisters she had and she replied "one brother"

"That's all?", the girl asked. "I have 13 brothers and sisters"

The big problem with getting the word out about various methods of Natural Family Planning is that there's no money in it. Once a couple learns NFP, they're autonomous. They don't need pills, potions, or pharmacists. There's no way to get any money from them.

Excellent point, Joe.

The diaphragm method is fairly effective (from our own experience). It just involves getting a new diaphragm once a year or so, and buying some over-the-counter spermicide
