Enforce Zina’s Laws!
Special to FreeRepublic ^ | 13 July 2007 | John Armor (Congressman Billybob)

Posted on 07/13/2007 8:18:39 PM PDT by Congressman Billybob

The body of Zina Linnik was found today (Saturday) in Tacoma, Washington, based on information from a convicted sex offender who has been arrested in connection with her abduction, sexual torture, and death. Final charges have not been filed, and there has not been any trial. But available information now indicates that the man responsible is Terapon Adhahn, 42, an illegal alien who had been convicted in 1990 of incest against an underage relative.

He should have been deported then as a result of that conviction. He wasn’t. As a representative of the Immigration Service said in one article about this subject, “We lost track of him.” Indeed. The police and courts in Tacoma were not much better in keeping track of this criminal alien.

Thus it was that on the 4th of July, Adhahn was in his grey van on the street where Zina was going home to get her siblings to come out to watch fireworks. He apparently snatched her off the street. Her father was close enough to hear her scream, see the van, get part of the license plate, and find his daughter’s shoe.

Within 24 hours, the police had found the van, found Adhahn, and developed information to find Zina’s body, and arrest Adhahn on the initial charge of immigration violations. Other charges will follow.

Why did this happen? Who is responsible?

It happened because that’s what pedophiles do. One of the most repetitious crimes of all is preying on children. Such criminals will almost always repeat their crimes until they are jailed or executed. But Adhahn was not jailed or executed. He was also not deported.

I have two daughters and four granddaughters. If any human slime did something like this to any of them, I would be wild with grief, and furious with anger at all responsible for this fate.

The main responsibility is the criminal himself. But in situations like this one, many other people share part of the blame.

Consider Amber Alerts, Megan’s Law, and Jessica’s Law. All these began with the horrible death of one young girl in one state. All spread to most states in the union because they have the capacity to save the lives of other young girls from the horrors of pedophiles. Do we need more laws to protect other young girls from the fate of Zina? No we don’t.

We already HAVE Zina’s Laws. They are the immigration laws of the United States. They require that a pedophile like Adhahn MUST be deported after their first conviction. It is bureaucrats drawing their checks and sitting on their duffs, who have not enforced these laws. It is Members of Congress drawing their (recently increased) checks and sitting on their duffs, who have not both insisted on and paid for enforcement of these laws. It is a President who is drawing his checks and sitting on his duff, who is allowing Border Patrol agents to rot in jail rather than backing them up in doing their jobs.

Notice I have in no way condemned the dedicated but overmatched Border Patrol agents themselves.

How many Americans are exposed to attacks and death due to the failure to enforce Zina’s Laws? A study by the Violent Crimes in Atlanta, released in May, 2006, concluded that there are about 240,00 illegal immigrants in the United States as of then, who are sex offenders. These criminals had about four victims each. The study deals with the propensities of these criminals to “advance” to murder as well as sexual abuse, and the comparative tendencies of this group to commit crimes, compared to others.

We cannot jail the politicians who allowed Zina to be tortured and killed at the age of 12. But can we at least turn our rage on them so they either act to prevent future acts like this, or flee their offices in fear of our rage? Don’t we owe that to Zina, and all the little girls like her?

“...entertaining the possibility that his voter registration could be fraudulent.”

No, really? Here in Washington state? Perish the thought.

That might be the same “Seattle rag” that I emailed about their headline. It had the word “deportment” in place of “deportation” in part of its headline. The headline ran along the lines of “Suspect in Zina murder: illegal alien who escaped deportment.” I emailed their editor. I think it was the Seattle Times, but I can’t track down the email at this moment. Geraldo is not alone.

"...There should be an investigation to find out who screwed up and then deal with those who did. One of the greatest problems is that there seems to be no accountability and therefore the problems continue..."

Forget the 'investigations'! Start putting the bad-guys in the ground, and this crap'll stop! Waiting for gummint action is pointless, and asking for it is a fools' game.

And if there ain't a copper around, practice some 2nd Ammendment do-it-yerself. In case y'all hadn't noticed by now, we're on our own out here in the wilds of America. ............... FRegards

We already HAVE Zina’s Laws. They are the immigration laws of the United States. They require that a pedophile like Adhahn MUST be deported after their first conviction.

Except that deporting them does no good, since they will turn around and sneak back in. Mexican government doesn't care squat.

And I have a citizen Level 2 sex offender living in my neighborhood full of little kids. Used to see the kids all over the place, but now it's more or less a ghost town, because parents are afraid to let their kids wander. The Black Robes feel far too sorry for these creeps, legal or illegal.

Sherriff Joe Arpaio had an interesting take on illegal immigration, interviewed on local talk radio.

He doesn't believe in fences, but "Just enforce the law" (heard of that anywhere before?). He would put tent cities all along the border, catch and pen them up for a few months, in that miserable 120 degree heat, before deporting. Once they realize they will have the hurt put on them, they will stop coming. Food for thought.

“I am furious. Are you? What are we going to do about it?”

CRIMINAL
JUSTICE.

TORT
REFORM.

...and how can citizens self-deputize and commence criminal proceedings if attorneys general are criminally negligent, or complicit?

What are we going to do about it?

I agree...we need to do something...we have to do something...

...but other than going 'gonzo' (all due respect gonzo)...we work to change laws....or make them enforce!!! the laws we already have

..many of us are becoming very aware -(& some of you were already there)...

..that great chunks-(not all!) of our justice system is either corrupt, broken, inept or all the above.

This is only one wildfire of many 'illegal alien' wildfires for our resources to cover.

Would that we had more Congressman Billybob's.

We must do something.....We have to do something....

It's exceedingly frustrating.

>>Wouldn’t this guy have been given AMNESTY and citizenship by Teddy K and the bunch of hot-air blowers in the Senate? I bet he’s disappointed.<<

The Kennedy amnesty bill would not have affected his immigration status, because he was already a Permanent Resident Alien (green card holder). The amnesty bill, however, would have legalized illegals with similar backgrounds. It also would have put extra burdens on immigration workers who would have to go through the motions of doing paperwork on 20 million illegals.

Are you sure?

Residency meant he could stay

Adhahn was an immigrant. Why wasn’t he deported after his 1990 conviction for incest?

Because federal law didn’t require it. Adhahn, 42, came to America in 1977. He became a legal permanent resident, but never filed for citizenship.

Under federal law, a single conviction for a “crime of moral turpitude” doesn’t warrant deportation for a legal permanent resident, Lori Haley, a spokeswoman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Friday.

“One conviction wouldn’t render him deportable, because he was a legal permanent resident more than five years,” Haley said.

Haley added that immigration officials knew about Adhahn’s 1990 conviction at the time.

The same laws say a second conviction could have triggered deportation. Adhahn was convicted of intimidation with a weapon in 1992. The case was filed in Tacoma Municipal Court. Immigration officials didn’t know about that conviction.

“We weren’t aware of the 1992 conviction at the time,” Haley said. “That happened in Municipal Court, so we were unaware.”

What you see is the suits at Immigration trying to cover their tails. As that source notes at the end, his weapons conviction afterward would have qualified him for a fast boat to Thailand, but they "didn't know about that."

The laws were sufficient. The bureaucrats failed. And a 12-year-old girl was raped and murdered. (The rape has not been established, but that is the driving purpose of this pervert.)

"...We must do something.....We have to do something..."

Hi-ya, Green Eyes - long time ...

I agree with you completely, Gwen, with emphasis on the 'WE' part. I also agree that all the laws on the books now are more than ample to solve our 'criminal' problems if they were enforced. And yes - our 'Justice' system IS 'all-of-the-above' broken.

Which leaves the vast majority of law-abiding Americans in jeopardy. We have to live within the 'system', and work to make it better with our votes, because votes are the preferred way to replace defective representation and effect change for our betterment.

It's the 'meantime' that we live in while we work to make the system better, where we all should be awake and aware of our situation. I encourage self-reliance as much as possible for all Americans, not unlike the Boy Scout Motto - 'Be Prepared'!

'Going-gonzo' sounds like 'going-postal', and that's not what I mean. I do not advocate going on 'muzzie hunts' or 'illegal-alien' hunts. Being 'gonzo' just means that you're ready to defend yourself if you find that you're considered to be a 'dhimmi' or a 'gringo' by someone else who's attacking you.

Personally, I'm prepared to respond with Furious Anger and Terrible Vengeance, but that's just me. Stay well, sweetie .................... FRegards

>>The laws were sufficient. The bureaucrats failed.<<

The current laws would have been sufficient if

1) Local officials were required to check immigration status on such convictions and report to the feds. To me, this means that we need a federal law to nullify local sanctuary laws. The feds claim that the locals didn’t report the firearms violation. If that is true, the locals are also to blame.

2) The feds acted in the interest of the American people. I think you would agree that in many cases, they have not (The DC Sniper case). They need an “attitude adjustment” and the Bush administration is not interested.

3) The federal law is changed so that a single conviction of a sex crime mandates deportation.
