Actually, I’m cracking up here. One of my many many sisters-in-law is a total loon (as in she should be committed). She keeps chickens as pets. Her favorite sleeps in the garage.

I like having chickens — they dethatch the lawn, eat the garbage and leftovers, and they make killer eggs. I don’t let them off the yard (1 acre), and I never keep a rooster past the first crow.
