Since this situation, I have made an effort not to buy anything from China that I will consume.
I’m waiting on some food brand to go 100% American and say so. It would be a huge marketing advantage to have a big “NOT MADE IN CHINA” message on the package. I know I would buy such a product.
Fortunately, I do know where my next meal is coming from ... either one of my ponds or my pasture or my woods or my garden or a combination of those. I’m not saying we never eat anything else, but we feed ourselves for the most part. Now it seems more important than ever.

As far as I know, imported products give the country of origin on the label. Products made in the USA typically say nothing. But there is usually no indication of the source of the ingredients.

There’s no free lunch. We’re trading short-term cheap goods for long term security.
The corporations are doing everything they can to hide where these products, and their ingredients originate, where it's grown, processed etc.
The drums are beating loud to make this law.

I love the idea of Victory/AntiChina Gardens. I planted veggies this summer in my little plot where formerly only flowers grew. Doing well with lettuce, herbs, zucchini, not so well with broccoli and red peppers. It’s a start.
