“I have been here a quarter century, and I could be here for another quarter century (ed. God forbid), and I will never understand what these folks do to make this place run.”

He said it himself..he’s been there for a quarter century so he’s totally unfamiliar with what it’s like to have a job.

I agree with Dan. This title is PRO-REPUBLICAN!

Read it and think about it.

The Democrats played to their moonbat base last night. They didn't change any minds. What a disgusting spectacle. I'm glad they're going on vacation next month. Gen. Petraeus has been bought time to get the job done - and the Democrats are afraid of good news like sick people dread the plague. It could end killing them politically, since only the country's loss can be their gain.

I’m sorry, I misread. I thought it meant ‘block of republicans’ surrendered.

false alarm

I misread the title. I thought it was PRO-DEM.

I thought it meant Repubs SURRENDERED.

Notes that slumber party was a “colossal waste of time.” Reid cuts him off.

I kind of like that term for the Dems; the Slumber Party.

" Bringing in beds etc!

Interesting to me that you specifically mentioned this much shown video of the trucks unloading the beds and the workers moving them into the building. IMO - Most of us "common folk" who are working late and might need catch a few zzzzz's for a relatively few minutes at a time, would bring in a sleeping bag or some blankets. But the DEMOCRATS (who apparently are not as "common" as they claim, bring in large portable beds (with steel frames and thick mattresses). We citizens apparently paid for those bed rentals, and the workers (OT?) and the transportation costs. I would like to see a MSM article which investigates just how much that "bed event" video moment cost the American taxpayer.

That slogan will be the gift that keeps on giving.

By Robert’s Rules opf Order, his vote allows him to resurrect the motion at some future point in this session.

I just had another solicitation call from the RNC moments ago. I bombarded the poor guy one of my polite but ferocious salvos.

He said he hoped that the shootdowns of the amnesty bill and this morning's vote at the Surrender Slumber Party made me feel better and that I would re-consider and send $150.

Ha, I hit him between the ears with the fact that the RNC funnels our hard-won dollars to the likes of the Sobsey Twins, Susan and Olympia, who along with other turncoat RINOS jump the GOP ship all the time, including today.

Not knowing prior that I am a Free Republic educated genius and up on all things worth being up on, and that I'm not the average schlump he talks to, he began to get an inkling.

Within moments he deftly bade me adieu and wished me a good day.

LOL.....I LOVE these phone calls. They keep me sharper than Ann Coulter's tongue!

Me too. I read "Republicans Block-Surrender" and thought "dammit, not again..."

That is exactly what happened. Republicans blocked the surrender.
