I've never seen a keyboard split in half like that.
Black becomes her...Beautiful First Lady Laura...What a Lady.
We took him to see his surgeon today, as he had a hard lump near this "unit." The surgeon explained that he had to cut that muscle during surgery, and it was the stitches and/or possible swelling, not anything bad. Whew!
Again...thanks for asking!!! It has been a major thing around here. His brother Rocky has a little rash on his chest. We think it's stress, as he plays nursemaid throughout the night and tells us if Rex is in distress.
LMAO....you know I did!!
Yep, she does look good in black.
I can’t imagine what Condi and Plugs had to talk about :)
you know animals are so sensitive towards each other & so easily stressed. You folks must be emotionally drained, Glad he is doing better hon..
jonny......love your comedic captions! great fun
I want a keyboard that does NOT have all those numbers on the left, and all the other keys that only a code writer uses. I learned to touch type and the darned SMALL keys are so close together they throw off my typing. But, NOOOOOO, they don’t make keyboards like that. Oh, and the darned caps lock is hidden by your left hand SO YOU TYPE IN CAPS WHEN YOU DON’T WANT TO.
Hi Nord! Got a great surprise ....a letter from President Bush thanking me for the birthday greetings I sent him!
Whoo Hoo. Another framed letter added to my wall....lol.
***Again...thanks for asking!!! It has been a major thing around here. His brother Rocky has a little rash on his chest. We think it’s stress, as he plays nursemaid throughout the night and tells us if Rex is in distress.***
What a good brother Rocky is. I’m so glad Rex is doing well.
How did tou know-—you’re the best!
Laura truly is a beautiful lady....i believe, inside as well as on the outside. It will be hard not to have her in our White House.
Thanks, Dolly ;)
I’m so glad you had a good trip. How did your health hold up? And what did you see that was so special?
I totally agree....what a sweetheart she is.
Hi Nancy! You, Mike and Jon have been in my thoughts so much lately.....please be sure to give Mike my very best wishes and tell him many good thoughts and prayers go with him and will be with him until he returns home.
In addition to being able to adjust the keyboard, I loved the fact that there were no numbers on the side. I have been typing since God was a little boy, and the manual models never had that feature! I did medical transcription for a lot of years, and learned to use all the keyboard functions instead of using the mouse, too, as quality and quantity of typing was the key, and the mouse just slowed me down!
Thanks for the ping Jonny
silent_jonny: AWESOME photos of an awesome President and First Lady!

BUSH COURTS COLUMNISTS, HILL
By: Mike Allen
Republican communications directors on Capitol Hill typically hear from the White House by conference call, so they were happy to be going downtown on Monday for one of their occasional conclaves in the splendor of the Roosevelt Room.
White House counselor Ed Gillespie, who joined the administration in June after a career that included serving as a top aide to the then-GOP House majority, was asking his guests for ideas about improving the back-and-forth between the two ends of Pennsylvania Avenue when the door opened and a familiar voice said, “Hey!”
It was President Bush. The Hill aides, a bit flustered, all immediately stood up.

BUSH DONATES WWII REVOLVER TO CENTER
By Joann Loviglio
PHILADELPHIA - Former President George H.W. Bush got his World War II service revolver back Wednesday, 60 years after giving it to a Navy lieutenant aboard the submarine that rescued him when his plane was shot down over the Pacific Ocean.
Bush donated the revolver to the National Constitution Center the same day the son of late Lt. J.G. Albert Brostrom returned the .38-caliber Smith & Wesson and its leather shoulder holster to him.
Brostrom was the sonar man on the USS Finback, which rescued Bush, a Navy pilot, after he was shot down by Japanese anti-aircraft fire on Sept. 2, 1944. Brostrom brought the future president to the infirmary and later shared his bunk with him.
“It was a little grubby in there, but that’s how it was done in those days,” Bush said. He gave Brostrom the revolver in gratitude.
Ron Brostrom, 59, of Chester Springs, Pa., said his father never spoke to his family about the war, except for the kindness and sense of humor of the combat pilot who gave him the revolver.
“We only knew it was a 20-year-old lieutenant,” Ron Brostrom said.
The family did not realize who the pilot was until 1980 when Bush then a vice-presidential candidate announced he was looking for crew members from the submarine.
“Dad was kind of like, ‘The kid did OK,’” Brostrom said with a laugh.
Bush presented the gun to Constitution Center president and CEO Joseph Torsella for permanent display in the museum.
Bush is chairman of the center’s board of trustees. The Constitution Center, a nonprofit organization founded in 2003, contains more than 100 exhibits dedicated to increasing public understanding of the Constitution.
POLLING UPDATE . . .
[Yes, this is an anti-American pollster teaming up with an anti-American ‘news’ orgagization to produce ‘unbiased’ polling results . . . OK, now that you’ve stopped laughing, the results of this particular poll will make you start laughing all over again!]
14% excellent/good rating for Congress
34% excellent/good rating for President Bush
[. . . actually, the President earned a 40-something JA rating. Why? Half of those who rated the President ‘fair’ would actually ‘approve’ of his job performance in a standard approve/disapprove poll . . . Regardless, in a DEMOCRAT dominated poll, the President still outperformed Congress by 20 points!]
THE BUSH DOCTRINE LIVES
The president isn’t selling out Israel or relaxing his call for Palestinian democracy.
BY MICHAEL B. OREN
Wednesday, July 18, 2007 12:01 a.m. EDT
JERUSALEM—Newspapers in Israel yesterday were full of stories about President Bush’s call on Monday for the creation of a Palestinian state and an international peace conference. While Israeli officials were quoted expressing satisfaction with the fact that “there were no changes in Bush’s policies,” commentators questioned whether the Saudis would participate in such a gathering and whether Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, with his single-digit approval ratings, could uproot Israeli settlers from the West Bank.
But all the focus on the conference misses the point. Mr. Bush has not backtracked an inch from his revolutionary Middle East policy. Never before has any American president placed the onus of demonstrating a commitment to peace so emphatically on Palestinian shoulders. Though Mr. Bush insisted that Israel refrain from further settlement expansion and remove unauthorized outposts, the bulk of his demands were directed at the Palestinians.
