That is too flat of a statement. In some areas only certain things will grow. My friend has a farm here on Maui and he can grow great cabbage, lettuce, cucumbers, onions and corn. He is even planting an apple orchard which Maui is not known for but getting results. BUT, there are many many things he has tried that will just not grow well here. For one thing we have a slug/worm/bug problem here worse than most places. Some of these farms here are doing “organic” and it beats me how they get around the bug problems with out spraying. It’s close to impossible. Where I live we have tried different tomatoes and almost all have been a disaster except for the Roma and the little cherry tomatoes. I thing they do well because of the thick skin they have. The bugs maybe don’t want to work that hard.
A labeling law is supposed to go into effect next year. Here are a couple of links to articles about produce and meat labeling:

That was informative. Thank you for taking the time to help me. Aloha
Best line of the day!
Organically fertilized with human waste and nitrate fertilizers that couldn’t pass inspection for the U.S. Market, and therefore not inorganic fertilizer.
Give me a break. Organic simply means you have too much money and want to pay extra for your food.
I didn’t put the (sarc) on, sorry.
Hate China, they killed my dog.
I do not believe anything they say.
