Exactly what in the hell is your problem? None of my Irish, oops forgot to mention Catholic, ancestors ever battled for their country? We not only battled for the land, we also fought against cultural extinction. The Brits outlawed our religion and our language. Oh and before you accuse me of harboring bad feelings for the British...I'm an American first, and the British are America's allies.

When I originally posted the comment I made, I obviously didn't parse it so you could understand. Let me s p e l l it out for you: The Indian's way of life was brutally ripped from them. The survivors were then herded onto barren land, which was "given" to them. These people migrated seasonally as a way of life, then were penned in on some piece of dirt. Alcohol was not part of their lives until the white man introduced it to them. In fact, studies show that they have a genetic predisposition to alcoholism.
At least they finally turned the dirt into gold, by way of Indian gaming. Any more cute remarks?
