2-3 Million in the Killing Fields....
Countless that just disappeared into the “reeducation camps” in Vietnam never to be seen again...
And the fact these camps continued to operate (at least admittedly until the mid 90s in Vietnam).
Kerry is an abject fool.

There wasn’t any bloodbath for those who weren’t there.

Kerry was interviewed on WTKK with Jay Severin yesterday. I didn’t listen, because in all honesty, I think Kerry is an effete snob.

Yeah, all those boat people were just out for a cruise. First Kerry was "Swift Boated", now "Boat Peopled".

Kerry invents history just like Gore invented the internet and now global warming.
To: Chicos_Bail_Bonds
from wiki...”Hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese officials, particularly ARVN officers, were imprisoned in reeducation camps after the Communist takeover.[citation needed] Tens of thousands died and many fled the country after being released. Up to two million civilians left the country, and as many as half of these boat people perished at sea.”
He’s a moron.

I think there is a delusional part of Kerry that really, really, believes that the Dumbocrats will come to him in the next few months and beg him to run for President again. He’s been totally minimized by the Senate Dem majority (remember that classic picture of the four twits walking down the hallway and Kerry in the background looking stupid and forgotten) and he’s trying to keep himself relevant.
That’s not going to be easy to do when you’re one of the reasons Congress has a 14% approval rating.

30 Apr 75 Saigon surrenders.
Apr-Aug 75 Per UC Berkeley demographer, Jacqueline Desbarats’ article “Repression in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam: Executions and Population Relocation,” research show an extremely strong probability that at least 65,000 Vietnamese perished as victims of political executions in the eight years after Saigon fell.

RE: Kerry says few, if any, suffered In Vietnam After US "Redeployment"
What dimension is this guy in?
It's more like a time-warp thing.
The ultra-liberals (and beyond) of Mr. Kerry's age and ilk cannot accept that the MSM no longer set the agenda, define what is news, what the issues are, what "facts" are -- the MSM no longer are the gatekeepers.
Yes MSM employees behave as I remember them from the 1960s and 70s, they will back what the Kerrys say or simply spike the story. The poor dolts.
This is the 21st Century and we have a free press again!

"Apparently he forgot about the 2 million that died in the Killing Fields."
That was Cambodia, and doesn't count according to Kerry, except of course, unless he's telling his Christmas in Cambodia story.

plus it dovetails nicely with his great skills as a prognosticator
From the Dick Cavett show - 06/71
"The true fact of the matter is, Dick, that there's absolutely no guarantee that there would be a bloodbath.... However, I think the arguments clearly indicate that there probably wouldn't be.... I think that it's really kind of a baiting argument. There is no interest on the part of the North Vietnamese to try to massacre the people once people have agreed to withdraw...
I realize that there would be certain political assassinations, and that might take place...I think to talk about four or five thousand people is lunacy in terms of the overall argument and what we're seeking in Southeast Asia."

I cannot even imagine how bad the alternative to Bush in’04 could have been. I’m still glad I voted for Bush even with the whole attempted immigration/border fiasco.

technically that wasn’t in Vietnam. there were re-education camps and some executions, but the real disaster was in cambodia with the Khymer Rouge, who were actually deposed by the Vietnamese commies in 1979

I have been so disappointed in President Bush about the out of control spening, the Amnesty Bill, the refusal to stand up to the lies of the Left....
then, I read the latest thing this asshat Kerry has said, and I am glad I voted for Bush.
Thanks John Kerry for reminding me why I voted for Bush and not for you.... you phony hero, checkbook boy toy.
