CHESHIRE, Conn. Three people were killed after thieves broke into their home, held them hostage for several hours and ultimately set the house ablaze before being nabbed by police while trying to flee the scene.
. Connecticut State Police said in a statement issued Monday that officers went to the residence after bank officials notified them of a "suspicious withdrawal."

well Michael Skakel is still in the hooscow right?
Maybe the perps aren’t giving up names, and their fingerprints are not on file...
They could be minors?
Those laws that “protect” minors are insane.......
Would like to see all three of them, after being flogged till they are raw meat, singing, “Sometimes I feel....sometimes I feel....like I’ve been tied to the whippin’ post, tied to the whippin’ post, tied to the whippin’ post....oh Lord I feel like I’m dyin’”
When I drove by the Meriden Superior Courthouse this morning the satellite trucks were already wall-to-wall. Media feeding frenzy alert.
Common practice in the socialist states...
Id anyone making book on whether the victim family was known to be armed?
"Three Suspects Killed in Home Invasion, Home Owner not charged."
Thanks for axing.
Probably young punks. Cheshire is a fairly affluent area, removed from bad areas in New Haven and Hartford by a reasonable distance, which precludes my initial impression (before I learned the location of the crime) that it might involve certain minorities.
Not something to joke about people.
There is such a thing as pure evil, and this is an example of it.

Police identified the suspects as Joshua Komisarjevsky, 25, of Cheshire, and Steven Hayes, 43, of Winsted.

Connecticut HUH! Well the state set it up, gun control, coddling criminals, and the perps hit it out of the park. Another state sponsored murder.
Come on, you can think up something funnier than that. After all, this is such a hysterical story. Lots of laughs.
I sort of tend to blame the two punks.
What makes it different from violence perped anywhere in the country? There seem to be any number of cities in the US that are as bad a Iraq (on average). Being 15 mi from NH is not all that far these days. H! should be asked what she will do to bring peace and stability to the US.
I’ll take any city in the U.S. over Iraq.
It’s Connecticut, one of the prime gun grabbing states. My strong bet’s that these good people weren’t armed, and probably didn’t want to be until the horrible time came when the one thing they desperately needed more than anything else in the world was a loaded, readily available gun, and the didn’t have it.
Shortly before shall issue CCW became readily available here in Tennessee three horrible crimes were perpetrated within six miles of where I live here in west Knox County, TN that were the final step in convincing be to get a carry permit ASAP. In the first, the 24 year old assistant manager of a Radio Shack just next door to a Chinese restaurant I often frequented was murdered by a subhuman. In the second, a couple in Farragut, TN was apparently murdered by a burglar whom they had surprised on coming home. In the third case, a young man getting gas around midnight at a station I’d drive by every day was murdered by three subhumans. Northing like this has happened here in west Knox County since Tennessee adopted shall issue CCW. Tennessee now has a higher percentage of eligible citizens with CCW permits than any other state and violent crime has dropped.
To protect myself against just such a horror I keep a loaded pistol by my bed, have a loader revolver in my vehicle, and make sure my CCW permit’s always current.
If Connecticut had shall issue CCW, like we do here in Tennessee, and encouraged a gun culture there’s an excellent chance these good people might be alive today and, indeed, that the crime never would have been perpetrated. Here are three more dead, innocent people and one completely ruined life for which the Brady bunch can be thanked. Gun control is one of the most completely vile, evil, immoral, crime enabling and promoting political movements on the face of the earth.
Chesire reformatory is very nearby. Lots of nasty youts reside there.
You’ve nailed it exactly.
CT is shall-issue, or very nearly so. That being said, I would bet these poor people despised guns. (Until the other day)
We ought to be seeing the obligatory graduation photos any day now.
We continually get these cries for the ending of capital punishment. My question is, who are we to protect, the perpetrator or the victim. A society that does not protect it’s citizens from people who attack them is not a moral society. Why should I pay taxes to a government that cares more about the lives of murderers than it does about mine?
CT is fairly reasonable about CCW. Neighboring RI is impossible for getting a CCW. That said, criminal justice won't get serious about criminals like these until more upper middle class liberals are victims. Sad.
The ID’s have been released.
Thanks...

If you knew WTF you were talking about it might help. I held a CT CCW permit years ago..... it was difficult to get. Even though it IS indeed a “shall issue” state. I moved out of state for years....let my CT permit expire...and just recently applied for and got another CT CCW permit.
The powers that be actually made it EASIER to obtain the permit this time around....much easier than it was 20+ years ago. A simple one page form.
CT gun culture?
Yea, us dum Yankees know nothing about it
Colt, Charter Arms, Ruger, Winchester, Remington, PTR, Marlin.....I’m probably missing a few others that were either started or are still in business here in CT
Actually, it was easier for me to get a CCL in Connecticut than here in Texas. Even though it's not "shall issue", Cheshire is a fairly Republican town and the police issue freely. Also, you are required to have a CCL to buy a gun (you can get a permit to buy, but getting a CCL is easier). Because of the culture up there, however, barely anybody takes advantage of it and actually obtains a CCL.
I totally agree with your assessment of gun control, but actually it's not that awfully difficult to own a gun in CT if you are willing to wade through a little bit of red tape. This family would probably have been able to buy a handgun or shotgun for home protection if they had wanted to, but the anti-gun mindset of many northeastern people, especially well to do upper class people like this family appears to be, is so ingrained in their psyche that they see having a gun in the house as a rednecky kind of thing that only the lowlifes on the other side of the tracks would do.
My strong bets that these good people werent armed, and probably didnt want to be until the horrible time came when the one thing they desperately needed more than anything else in the world was a loaded, readily available gun, and they didnt have it.
A pretty safe bet IMHO.
Snickersnee, do you live in or near Meriden??
