Pity she’s married.
Now this isn’t a fence, but it is some measure of control over the border, if it passes JWB’s desk that is.
· To allow DHS to present a photo electronically to an employer so that the employer may confirm the identity of the individual when he presents ID;
What genius came up with that provision? What do they expect - that DHS is going to maintain a database of all US citizens and legal immigrants? Sounds a little big-brother ish to me.
There's some money to fund the Secure Border Fence Act of 2006 in here.
Looks like it does provide funding for the fence:
· 300 miles of vehicle barriers & 700 miles of border fencing;
!
Now let’s see if that is how the funds are spent.
Not for her husband.
Boy, that Johnson (D-SD) sure doesn’t vote much, does he?
Hmmmm....
Seems Hannity needs to have another talk with Weepy Voinovich.
Ha! Now who said border enforcement on its own wouldn’t pass???? Well, I guess it still hasn’t survived conference and the President’s VETO pen yet but it’s made more progress then amnesty ever did.
Seems Reid and his collegues got scared over night and reversed their position. And, No, Lindsey. This doesn’t make up for you calling us bigots. Thank you Senator Cornyn and the other stalwarts!
Is Voinovich out of his mind?
Bush will have to get Calderón's permission to sign it. May be difficult.
Bush has already threatened to veto it if passed.
1 Nay - Voinovich of Ohio.
Good Lord, I think Brown, a democrat is better than Voinovich. At least you know which way Brown tilts. And he seems to be on the right side this once.
Voinovich is done. It’s a darn shame he’s wealthy and will be kicked out of office to a big pension.
Her being married doesn’t mean anything! I’m gonna oogle her anyway , and if she were single she wouldn’t have anything to do with a fat old bastard like me anyway.
This kills any border fence now except for the approx 100 miles that was paid for with the down payment that was built within the law.
After Reid and the Dems tangled with the GOP last night, the Senate just passed a good border security funding amendment today, 89-1.
The goat who voted against it? Babbling George Voinovich.
sigh...my Sentor I’m ashamed to admit.
Did Georgie Girl cry again? Sheesh.
This vote appears to be veto proof.
That’s to confirm that the photo the employer has matches the photo of the the real person who that ID belongs to.
Do you have to ask? Every time he appears or mouths off he gets loonier. He's just one of several senators who are likely to become unable to finish their terms.
