The anti-American left has announced their plans to descend on our nation's capital in September to help their terrorist allies overseas on the political front in Congress.
September is going to be the mother of all battles. The left is going all out to bring about the defeat of America in the war on terror. Their immediate goal is to pressure Congress into giving up on the Iraq front so that their terrorist allies have a safe haven in which to wage war on America and our allies in the Middle East.
They believe public opinion is on their side. And why shouldn't they? Nearly everytime they rear their ugly heads, too many patriotic Americans allow them to spread their propaganda unanswered.
The anti-American left is counting on you to stay home in September and pretend that if you ignore them they will go away and they won't get any attention from the media or Congress. That strategy has worked quite well for them over the past few years as they have captured Congress and gotten nothing but fawning coverage in the press while most of us acted like we're too good to stand up for our troops against them.
Those of you who have sat on the sidelines have one last chance to redeem yourselves. If you allow this Congress to succumb to the anti-American left and betray our troops in the field, will you be able to live yourself or look those troops in the eyes should they make it home alive?
Those of you who have stood with us before know that this one is for all the marbles and will do what you have to do to be there.
This September is a time for sacrifice on the homefront. Not of blood, but of time, money and effort. Our troops have the blood part covered. Patriotic Americans need to make the time, spend a little traveling money and make the effort to come to D.C. and fight the politcal battles for our troops.
The anti-American left is planning a week long assault beginning Sept. 15. The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com and the Gathering of Eagles will be there to meet them. We are also planning for actions the week before. On Sunday, Sept. 9, we'll be participating in the Freedom Walk. On Monday, Sept. 10, we'll be holding a press conference/rally at 11 a.m. in Upper Senate Park across from the Capitol to kick off a day of lobbying Congress to support victory.
Friday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. we'll have our regular support the troops rally at the main gate to Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Saturday, Sept. 15 is going to be the big day when the left launches their assault. We'll be holding a rally in the morning as we did at the first Gathering of Eagles on March 17. We will line the march route of the leftists from the White House to the Capitol. The precise details will be announced in the coming weeks.
I know that not everyone can make it. But in a country of 300 million, there is no reason why 30,000, or 50,000 or even 100,000 people can't make the effort to stand up for our troops and victory in D.C. that day.
We will be working with other groups on counter and proactive actions for the following week in D.C. We will need people who can spend the whole week or several days or even one extra day to help us.
If you really can't make it, attend a stop of the Move America Forward cross-country caravan in September and give them a flag to take to Washington.
Here is what the anti-American left has publicly announced that they will be doing in September in Washington:
Saturday, September 15 Mass March on Washington & Die-In Led by Iraq Veterans
* People will begin assembling at the White House in the late morning. There will not be an opening rally. A march will form with the front contingent of Iraq war veterans, family members of soldiers and marines and other veterans. When the march arrives at Congress, the Iraq Veterans Against the War and family members will be the leadership of a mass die-in symbolizing the deaths of an estimated 4,000 U.S. servicemembers. A powerful representation of the death of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis will be the other central component of this dramatic confrontation with Congress at the time that they will be debating spending another $100 billion to sustain the criminal occupation of Iraq.
* The Die-In is a civil disobedience action that will involve at least 4,000 people who are able to risk arrest.
* There will be a permitted rally taking place simultaneously with the Die-In. All those who cannot afford to risk arrest will be able to participate in the permitted rally that will take place on the West Lawn of the Capitol Building.
Sunday, September 16 National Training Session for the other Days of Action This will be a national meeting that will take place in Washington DC for all those who can remain in DC following the September 15 Mass March and Die-In. This will be a practical preparation for the actions on Monday, September 17 through Friday, September 21. This will be for everyone who can participate in one or more of the follow-up Days of Action.
Monday, September 17 Peoples March Inside Congress Assemble at 9:00 am in the cafeteria of the Rayburn House Office Building (House of Representatives). The lead organizing group for this action is CODEPINK.
Monday, September 17 National Truth in Recruiting Day In Washington DC, people will dispatch in teams to recruitment centers to tell the truth and counter the lies of the recruiters. Teams will dispatch from 7 am to 1 pm at Union Station in Washington DC. For those who have had to return to their cities, actions will take place all day long at local recruitment centers. The lead organizing group for this action will be Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW). [Read a letter from Adam Kokesh of Iraq Veterans Against the War about the National Truth in Recruiting Day.]
Tuesday, September 18 Congressional Challenge Day A broad spectrum of people from around the country will fill the halls and offices of Congress to tell members of Congress to stop funding the war right now. The lead organizing group for this action is Grassroots America. Tina Richards, mother of Iraq war veteran Cloy Richards and CEO of Grassroots America, writes that September 18 "is the day we throw the gauntlet down. We will challenge our government to fulfill the mandate of the people. We do not want a new direction into Iraq as Senate Leader Reid and Speaker Pelosi is fond of saying. We will tell them: ’End the War NOW!’ So join me on September 18, 2007, as we challenge our leaders to do the will of the American people." Wednesday, September 19 Direct Action More details coming soon.
Thursday, September 20 Veterans lobbying day More details coming soon. The lead organizing groups for this action will be Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW).

Of course these will not be the only groups agitating for America's defeat then. I'm sure the George Soros funded VoteVets and MoveOn and all the others will be there too.
MoveOn's Washington director, Tom Matzzie, recently said of their strategy: "Our goal is the total political collapse of support for Bush's war."

AMVETS, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the American Legion, Jewish War Veterans, Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Non-Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA) as well as dozens of others should be notified of this assault on our sacred sites and our veterans/service members. HEY TROOP RALLY!--Can't wait to see ya again! And ALL the other Real Great Americans & PATRIOTS! I had the HONOR to meet last year!
I DO have some small things I'd like to bring up and hope that some of you might think they are worth thinkings about.
( I was going to start a seperate thread, " What would you like to see more of at this years' Eagles Rally ? " But I think that even just having that many Patriots sacrifice their limited Time & Resources in such a big effort as even just GETTING to D.C. and all that's involved in Traveling,Staying and getting home was more than anyone could have even asked for as we had such an INCREDIBLE turnout that had the libbies HIDING from us!!)
---1---" E-Mail " as MANY OTHER ORG as you know AND especially- seperately E-Mail Any & ALL Individuals From those groups as you can: SO you get to already be friends and get to know as many people already by name so we can all be better UNITED & Organized when there!
I came by myself that first night-was all alone- But KNEW that My FRIENDS from my area would be coming later!
But some EAGLES saw me alone in the Hotel Lobby & came over-asked me who I was & Introduced themselves to me! MAN! getting to talk & meet all those Great Eagles reallyhelped my be Better Mentally PYCHED-UP!! and I couldn't wait til the next day to go out there and Kick Butt at the Rally!
The Next Day at the Rally the Libbies SAW THIS UNITY!! and I know it scared the dickens out of them!--- I am sure there were alot of just "Individuals" who were 10 time BRAVER than ME to come ALONE! & not having ANYONE to Greet,Meet, Reassure them when they got down to a Strange City-all alone!so...
---2---Please: When you are down there- IF you do see someone by themselves- or just one-two-three others who may look less "Seasoned" or looking Lost-GO OVER and say HI! to them-introduce yourself- maybe answer any questions they may have! Make them feel "WANTED"! & APPRECIATED that they made the effort to come! Let them Know from your own mouth RIGHT THEN & THERE that they not only made "The Right Choice" in their sacrifice in coming down- Not only will they feel like they made the "RIGHT CHOICE" in coming down but maybe next time THEY will bring a few MORE of their friends too who weren't sure about coming down!

I WAS ESPECIALLY a little surprised ( and let down?) by the LACK of " Posters- Banners- MEDIA GRABING type Displays " down there.
The Freepers-Move America Forward-Eagles-Vets& MIA Groups worled so damn hard BY THEMSELVES to not only Go out & GET the DONATIONS for the set-ups-but Paid for alot THEMSELVES!--and Set UP THEMSELVES; only relying on those Un-Selfish "Strangers" who Came Up Un-Asked,to volunteer to help these groups SET-UP the Stage areas- tables- AMERICAN FLAG STANDS & Poles
I DO know that alot came down in already cramped car-pooled , cross-country caravans! or on buses/trains-etc.But you all must have at least 1-2 signs you can fit into your cars!-or ..
THERE WERE SIGNS being handed Out by some great other sacrificing individuals & groups who were handing them out at the various Hotels!!-When you are down there in your hotels-as you start introducing yourselves to everyone else youmeet-ASK if anyone inyour hotel is doing that!
While there were some who made Fantastic Folding or rolled up signs or banners - IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN "US" GETTING THE FRONT PAGE COVERAGE with OUR SIGNS!! Rather than letting the Libbies CATCH ALL and get all the FRONT PAGE COVERAGE!-and the AMERICAN PEOPLE also Notice things like that!!
When the MEDIA WAS COVERING the areas we were preventing the Libbies from atempting to get Into to to VANDALIZE the memorials- NOT ONLY did the Posters make Great " BLOCKING/DEFENSIVE Shields- The MEDIA was taking pics of OUR SIGNS right there!! AND ALL of the AMERICAN FLAGS!
What did the AMERICAN PUBLIC see -that media took Photos of the LIBBIES carrying?? " MASS PRODUCED " Signs!! and ALL THE SAME!!! Think the American Public doesn't notice that?!
LET THE AMERICAN PUBLIC SEE "WHO " exactly are marching in these rallies! and WHAT THEIR REAL AGENAD is TOO! when the media or WE can get their Pics circulated!
AND THEN!-Let the Media take Our Pics- or evenif WE OURSELVES have to get OUT PICS Circulated-we will! cause we will Let America see the difference between THEIR MESSAGE & AGENDA and Ours!

06' Eagles Rally pic.
I did all my research and planning from home.
I got my plane ticket and hotel figured out and I am getting ready to book.
I also have the train schedule ready for printing and which Metro to take from the Hotel to the GOE.
It’s easy if you plan ahead.Once all the details are in I’ll adjust my routes if necessary.
