If he had any guts he would have burned it in front of the nearest biggest mosque — after announcing his intentions in advance.

He’s burning books to eliminate “homophobic hate.”
In other words he’s an idiot. (a genius to a liberal)

No one should hate gays. They should be treated as any other genetically deffective organism.

He got away with desecrating the Bible. We just shrug and let the Lord take care of such drivel.
He might not be so lucky with the muzzies.
Those guys have flown airplanes into buildings for less.

Kind of a pricey protest when you can get the same Islamofascist reaction by pee-peeing on a $2.98 Koran.

Actually - whether he knows it or not - he’s admitting that God’s word condemns the actions of homosexuality - It’s surprising how many people don’t know that...but, thanks to this gay guy’s actions, many more will be alerted.
‘Hope he plans on going into deep hiding - he’s committed a ‘fatwah-able’ offense for sure...
and wasn’t he displaying a bit of hate himself?

There are two ways to interpret this statement. Either the Islamic terrorists flew planes into the WTC towers in defense of homosexuals targeted by gay bashers in this country or they flew the planes to specifically target homosexuals. I maybe going out on a limb but a gut feeling tells me don't think either scenario is likely.

I hope that the reactions of the two groups is illustrated to those who are always so quick to point out that Christians are also terrorists.
Like you said - burn a Bible? Who cares. Some angry queer can't do anything to raise our pulse. Most Christians just feel sorry for him - he clearly has a lot of hate and ignorance in his heart.
But see how the OTHER side treats his burning of their Koran and watch them go bat-guana insane.

"Airplanes are flown into buildings because of words, and hate crimes against gays," Merrill said. I have news for Mr. Merrill; the Muslims hate a lot more people than just Gays. To be precise they hate everyone who is not a Muslim.
But they do have specific punishments for individual subsets of non-Muslims. And of course the punishments for Gays is not the least unpleasant of those punishments.

Watch out - if this story gets picked up around the world (and it probably will once CAIR et al get into the act) this could provoke the kind of insane reaction that will make the “Danish cartoons” matter look like kids in the sandbox. Muzzie mobs have rioted and slaughtered large numbers of infidels over a lot less. While I have no regard for the book in question, I certainly do not see any good reason to try to inflame those parts of the world into riots and mass murder. Is this guy trying to get a fatwa issued to become infamous? He may get a lot of innocent people killed in the process....

Wait a minute; He`s gay but then he says:
“I inherited the rare Islamic book from my late wife, Evangeline Johnson Merrill.”
Was Evangeline a man? Or is Charles one of those who suddenly one day decides he is gay?
I must say though, burning a rare Koran is a commendable accomplishment, although he may want to re-read that Bible.

clarification: the “book” in question for which I have no regard is the 2nd one burned (NOT the Holy Bible)— the ‘rare’ one he inherited from his late wife — though it’s probably spitting on her memory to burn it since obviously it was a remarkable item she received from a King (not that I would care, but presumably she did since she held onto it so long instead of giving it away)

Between the faggie and the muzzie hate-book, there really isn’t much to choose, except that the latter are far more effective in attaching teeth to their hatred.
To: 69ConvertibleFirebird
Mr. Merrill, raised in the comforts of the West, has never had to endure the consequences of "hate" probably beyond a punch in the nose or the ultimate terror of having someone of faith go "tsk, tsk" over his chosen voluntary deviancy. While the disapproval of a Christian is probably emotionally devastating to a homosexual, and while said liberal nancy-boy would proclaim to the rooftops how tolerant
he is while he destroys things other hold sacred, he is certain to learn about what
real hate is very soon now, as he will now have the world's Muslims actively plotting his
death.
Please, Mr. Performance Art Poofdah, you are so out of your depth, it would take Mulder, Scully, and that submersible that went down to the Titanic to find you. May I suggest you get some kind of real job, that doesn't depend on Liberals handing out government grants for how "meaningful" you are, and you'd probably better do it in some part of the Midwest where there are no damn mosques.
