Republicans: 60 Democrats voted in Palm Beach County and New York (in 2006)

West Palm Beach The Republican Party of Palm Beach County says 60 people appear to have voted illegally in both the Florida and New York elections last Nov. 7.

Republican Party Chairman Sid Dinerstein believes voter fraud is there and that law enforcement should take their list of 60 people "and see who's doing what."

But several people on the list contacted by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel said the Republican Party has it all wrong. "Impossible," said Shirley Goldberg, an 82-year-old Democrat who lives in Delray Beach. "I registered and voted in New York when I lived there. But I've been here for the last 12 years. I haven't voted in New York since."

Goldberg retired from a job in a Brooklyn hospital more than a decade ago. Dinerstein said, "These are allegations, we have no certainty. We compiled this list from the best data available to make the strongest list possible. And now law enforcement should take over."

The Republican Party announced Wednesday that it filed complaints of voter fraud July 20 with the State Attorney, Florida Division of Elections, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the State Attorney General and the U.S. Attorney's office.

The party has asked the Division of Elections to open an investigation to determine whether these 60 voters violated Florida voting laws and should be prosecuted for voting in two states in the same election. Dinerstein said that anyone registering to vote in Florida must sign a form that they reside in the state and note any other state in which they are registered.

A spokesperson for the Division of Elections said the agency "had only just become aware of the issue and is studying it."

Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer could not be reached for comment.

I would have believed this geriatric senility poster child, had it not been for her remark that it might be a crime against the Republican Party, instead of a statutory crime agains all other voters!

Just saying.

Au contraire. I believe her. She is not senile. This is standard practice for these big city political machines, which use voter roles to commit fraud in every election.

The only more prevalent problem is dead voters who are still voting (not including ballot stuffing, which is a whole different category).

That's just GREAT! Now you evil Republicans are going to start disenfranchising "permanently static post-humans"!

Or would that be the "chronically non-respiratory community"?

I’m from Brooklyn. I grew up with these people. I tell you now these bastards were only the ones that got caught. I knew at least four people who did this. I’m sure if someone checks ( not likely) he will find this crap goes on EVERY cycle. Democrats from the north with two homes vote twice and laugh. Most Democrats I know are basically dishonest people so this does not surprise me.

I live in Florida and have for 30 + years.
While a Republican state we have a Democrat senator, Nelson and a p.o.s. senator Mel Martinez.
The only dem we have in office in my county is the sheriff but he is a pretty good one and is the most powerful guy in the area.
If you want dems ya have to go to West Palm Beach where the old ladies vote in droves.

Goldberg retired from a job in a Brooklyn hospital more than a decade ago.

Here's the key. Hospital/Nursing Home Staffs are uniformly Democrat. They apply for absentee ballots on behalf of all their residents. Guess what they do in the Break Room before an election?

Wouldn't surprise me if one of Ms. Goldberg's former co-workers has been getting a ballot in her name since she changed residency. If they kept voting her ballot, then her name remained active (This would moot any system that NY has of purging the voter roles anyway).

I remember after election 2000, here in FL the vote was all over the news. I specifically remember an old black guy upset about the butterfly ballot. He said, and I quote, “I was supposed to push the second hole. I always do the second hole”.

In other words, he has no idea who he was voting for. He just was told on the bus to push that second hole.

That’s why Buchanan got all those votes. They don’t read the ballot. They are told on the buses, in the churches, by Democrat operatives to push the second hole. So they do.

I tell you, if you really want to screw up the Dems, change all the ballots the last minute so the Dems are on top. All those people they pay to vote who don’t know what they are doing will vote the wrong person.

Just go to the nursing homes of south florida. How many old people who have “lost it” are voting absentee with the assistance of democrat party club staffers? Quite a few.

Even when a senior is put under a guardianship without any more right to vote due to a COURT adjudication, (it is litterally following concrete evidence of alzheimers or being in a coma) are still not take off the voter rolls.
