Video link to the Mayflower II just outside of Plymouth Harbor last Sunday the 22nd, her 11 time under sail since 1957.
The Mayflower Compact:
IN THE name of God, Amen.
We whose names are underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread sovereign Lord, King James, by the grace of God, of Great Britain, France and Ireland king, defender of the faith, etc., having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith, and honor of our king and country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia, do by these presents solemnly and mutually in the presence of God, and one of another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic, for our better ordering and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions, and offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the colony, unto which we promise all due submission and obedience. In witness whereof we have hereunder subscribed our names at Cape-Cod the 11 of November, in the year of the reign of our sovereign lord, King James, of England, France, and Ireland the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth. Hi OSHA
I forgot to mention that while the original sailed with 102 passengers + a crew of about twenty, the Coast Guard will only allow 79 total onboard her nowadays while at sea.
I’m sure they all were granted full rights :)
Hi Broker,
I just happened to be down in Plymouth a few weeks ealier and aboard her and asked if they had plans to sail her again, the guide told me but there wasn’t much publicity about it beyond Plymouth.
As for the Mayflower Society:

One of these days I must join, I decend from five of the 102, thankfully there was no Coast Guard around to enforce the 79 people on board rule.
I’ll give you a Bradford bump.
Yep, this just about proves that the ideas of a Christian God never entered into the development of the American nation.
Hi Ben, so I take it you’re a Bradford descendant?
Hi Skimbell, I can’t find where Governor Patrick (D) made a visit during the ceremony after the sail, he may have but I can’t find anything about it. The State Senate president did, also a Dem, being from Plymouth it would be hard for her to avoid it, imo.
I don’t know about “Ben”, but one of my ancestors was related to Bradford! ;-)
We were thrown out of Europe before the rush.

Yes, that’s correct. Years ago my father got me certified and a membership in the Mayflower Society. I let it lapse but sometimes I claim to be a card-carrying member.
Hi dsutah,
A few years back C-Span did a series about great American authors and he was their first feature, did you see it?
That’s quite impressive! That must be near the record.
Hi Ben, one of these days I will complete an application, my uncle was a long time member until his death, I understand that all I have to do is prove my relationship to him which should be fairly easy.
John Alden - 3 different ways
Priscilla Mullins - 3 different ways
William & Alice Mullins - Priscilla's Parents
George Soule - Servant to Edward Winslow
Stephen Hopkins - Father of Constance by his first marriage.

Hi LonePalm,
You, me, and about another 250,000 people share dna through John Alden.
John & Priscilla Mullins married around 1623 I believe.
She being daughter to William & Alice Mullins.
John & Priscilla had a son Joseph Alden who married Mary Simmons.
Her name was Hopestill Alden who married Joseph Snow whose line I descend from.
Joseph Snow was the son of William Snow & Rebeckah Browne.
Rebeckah was the daughter of Mayflower passenger Peter Browne.
So perhaps that is another of your lines?
