Hillary Clinton's SUPPRESSED Thesis finally on line in its entirety
gopublius.com ^ | May 2, 1969 | Hillary Clinton

Posted on 08/01/2007 11:30:59 AM PDT by AndrewWalden

A PDF copy of Hillary Rodham’s senior thesis at Wellesley arrived in our inbox this morning. it is titled:

“There is only one fight …” an analysis of the Alinsky Model

Although I have no ‘loving wife’ to thank for keeping the children away while I wrote, I do have many friends and teachers who have contributed to the process of thesis-writing.

We have not had a chance to review and will do so today. Regardless, we wanted to post this as soon as possible to share with everyone. Hillary is running for President and it is important to know what she really believes. This document was hidden from public view during her husband’s presidency -= an apparent favor to the Clintons fromt he President of the university - and interest in it fell when the Clintons left office. Now with Hillary a top Democratic candidate for President the importance of this document has frothed to the surface again....

When you read this (Hillary ends with a call for "social revolution") you will see why the Clintons suppressed it for so long. This is the life plan Hillary has been following for nearly four decades.

This is the first time this hidden thesis has made it in its entirety online. Please download a copy for yourself to read and forward this to all your email lists. The Clintons will try to suppress this, but if it is everywhere on the internet, they will fail.

When that reporter (who died in 9-11) said that she’d read the thesis, she said it was 51 pages. This is longer. modified?

Well, you know, I wrote a ton of stuff in college that was pretty crazy. But I sure don’t agree with almost everything I scribbled down from those days.

But then, this is Hillary.

The late Barbara Olson’s article LINK:
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3883a222798a.htm

Olson said it was 75 pages, which is correct if you don’t count the appendices. This is a true and correct copy of the entire thesis including the appendices and cartoons.

Me too. I wanted to be a "store front" lawyer for the poor and ACLU.

My first ever vote was for Nixon in 1972 and has been right ever since.

Go figure.

As a freshman in college I did a speech in speech class on “Why everybody should ride bicycles instead of cars.” I readily admit that my speech contained idiotic and ill-conceived ideas. Now the key question is, will Hillary make a similar clear-cut disavowal of her old college ideas.

“But I sure don’t agree with almost everything I scribbled down from those days.”

SONG LYRICS; “YOU!”

“You haven’t changed at all/
Since you were seventeen/
When you raised your voice/
And so impressed yourself/
That today you STILL believe/
All the silly good intentions/
In your adolescent master plan...”

I wrote this about 14 years ago in mind of the loudmouth sector of the “Boomers”. I don’t believe I have ever written truer words.

If I ran for president and someone got a hold of my college papers, I’d have a lot of explaining to do. I was a Marxist back then. Like many Marxists, I also had issues with narcissism and depression. Many of those papers are downright embarrassing now.

On the other hand, I could explain my intellectual journey away from there. The question I would ask of Hillary is “explain your intellectual journey away from this thesis. How has your thought process changed?”

If we got an answer that sounded honest, I could respect that. I still wouldn’t vote for her, but I would respect her for answering the questions

The problem is that very little that Hillary says sounds particularly honest. She seems to have a focus group stuck in her head. When she said she’d always been a Yankees fan, for example, that on its face is possible. But there would have to be a story there.

How does a girl from the Chicago suburbs become a Yankee fan? A favorite uncle from Manhattan who took her to games? She thought Mantle was cute? But she never had a story. All she had was the poll-driven claim that she was always a Yankee fan.

If someone asked her about her thesis, she’d probably have six or seven poll-driven responses. “I still believe in social justice.” “As a mother, I’ve learned that you have to compromise.” Etc. Etc. But she’d be unlikely to tell the real story of her intellectual journey (if there was one) from that thesis to her current views. Hillary will do anything to keep the real Hillary from making an appearance.

Now the key question is, will Hillary make a similar clear-cut disavowal of her old college ideas.

If it helps her politically, of course she will.
She can always say that she no longer subscribes to those "radical" ideas, but can we trust that she is telling the truth?

“What does the radical want? He wants a world in which the worth of the individual is recognized....A world based on the morality of mankind...The radical believes that all peoples should have a high standard of food, housing and health. The radical places human rights far above property rights. He is fro free, universal public education and recognizes this as fundamental to the democratic way of life... Democracy to him is working from the bottom up....the Radical believes completely in real quality of opportunity for all peoples regardless of race color or creed.” - (quote from Saul Alinsky)

Much of what Alinsky professes does not sound “radical”. his are the words used in schools and churches, by our parents and their friends, by our peers. The difference is that Alinsky really believes in them and recognizes the necessity of changing the present structure of our lives in order to realize them.

This is a sample of what is inside this thesis.

When you read the thesis from front to back, you will see that there is no intellectual journey away from this thesis. This truly is the “Rosetta Stone” of Hillary’s life and thought. The things she says in this thesis are echoes every day in her public pronouncements.

"Although the People's Organizations, once established, engage more often in realistic then nonrealistic conflicts, their formation is largely a process of exploiting nonrealistic conflict. It is during this process that Alinsky's critics accuse him of 'rubbing raw the sores of discontent' without any specific goal in mind.

"Exploiting nonrealistic conflict". "...'rubbing raw the sores of discontent' without any specific goal in mind.

Sounds like a DNC modus operandi if I'd ever heard one.

One of the things that I have noticed about College Grads of my era, 68-72, it that their political mindset is frozen in time.

I was lucky in that I did three years as an 11B before I went to College but my brother, who graduated in 76, still spouts the Marxist line.

BINGO! Your post nailed it!

It would be hypocritical to take as gospel anything anyone wrote in college. But this should be a great starting point for any serious questioning on how her critical-thinking skills evolved from her senior year.

Some nuggets:

“the difference between a ‘liberal’ and a ‘radical’ is that a liberal refuses to fight for the goals he professes.”

“To induce conflict is a risk because there is no guarantee that it will remain controllable.”

“Only through social equality can men determine the structure of their own social arrangements.”

From the first chapter:

...Alinsky received a fellowship in criminology with a first assignment to get a look at crime from the inside of gangs. He attached himself to the Capone gang, attaining a perspective from which he viewed the gang as a huge quasi-public utility serving the people of Chicago.

Well that sure 'splains some stuff...
