The victims in the Vick case were innocents. OJ’s victims were not. I am not stating here that they deserved to die and OJ should have killed them, but they were in no way innocent

You are out of your mind. OJ's vics, his EX wife and Mister Goldman were totally innocent of any wrong doing, and certainly didn't deserve to die by OJ's knife.

It is interesting to see you, and other's like you, prove Zeise's point. You are equating dogs with people. DOGS are not people, they are animals. While it is cruel to torture them and to fight them for money it is in no way comparable to cruelty to humans. All of you over the top animal lovers are out of your friggin' minds and Zeise was right, Vick not only would have been better off raping a woman but tortuing humans and fighting them to the death would not have caused near the outcry as fighting dogs.

Thanks for the link..
Interesting, and true..
Americans will never insist that our thugs play “unenhanced”...
Part of the reason I stopped taking my son and daughter to professional events...was the increase in thugs, drugs and the profane coarseness of the fans.
We settled in on High School sporting events and personal involvement...

The ONLY exception I made - was for the Harlem Globe Trotters..
Every child should experience those magnificent showmen...
I wonder if they are still on tour?

I like football — don’t like some of the players.

To blanket all of football with a term like “Thug Ball” is just plain dumb — and based on the overwhelming majority of your posts — you aren’t.

You must be having abad day river rat — chill.

Having lived in the Detroit suburbs for 10 years in the late 70s & 80’s, I can tell you; Newt spoke the truth.

The anti-abortion people and the feminazis whirl into the center of things and start flogging their causes, and they have very little sympathy for what is going on here: abuse of animals for money and fun. They believe their causes are somehow on a higher plane: they are not.

Please explain how cruelty to animals is as bad or worse than 25 million innocent, defenseless American babies being murdered.

Cruelty begets cruelty, not only that it augments it. None of it is any good, but don’t try to place your concerns above mine in this case. There is lots of room for concern for both cases. Concern for animals does not negate concern for babies - born or not yet born. If you don’t have room for both, your heart is “two sizes too small”.

I never said my heart didn’t have room for concern for animals. What Vick is accused of is deplorable, and if he’s guilty, he should spend some time in the slammer. I’m simply rebutting your claim that the value of an animal’s life is on the same plane as the value of a human life. They are, and always will be, two different things. 25 million baby murders is a holocaust of epic proportions. A few dozen savage dogs being abused or killed IS NOT a holocaust of epic proportions. It’s disgusting and deplorable - true - but don’t try to equate the two. One is certainly more tragic than the other. To argue otherwise is a fool’s errand.

I remain in total disagreement with you here. These dogs are innocents and aer put through unimaginable pain and misery every minute of their lives by savages for money and entertainment. I will fight you on this one.

I respect your opinion, but we’re going to have to agree to disagree. Nothing is more innocent and helpless than an unborn baby. Cruelty to animals is inhumane and deplorable, but it is not murder.

Ask yourself this question: would you mourn the death of your child more than the death of your pet?

I’m a pet owner. I love my dog. He’s part of the family. I’ve had to euthanize pets in the past. It’s painful. I cried every time. But it doesn’t compare to mourning the loss of a loved one. That is a pain that never goes away.

If my house was burning down, and I had to choose between saving my daughter or son and saving my dog, I wouldn’t have to think twice. If I had to choose between saving the life of a complete stranger and saving my dog’s life, I’d save the stranger’s life. I would hope that you would do the same. A human life simply has more value than an animal life. It’s inconceivable to me that you believe otherwise.
