"It does no good for us to be dead and theoretically free," he said. "I'd rather be alive and fight for our freedom. . . For the duration of the danger, I am in favor of more intrusion into our civil liberties as we had during World War II."

Duration of the danger? There's no time limit that I can see, it's open ended.

Blanckley is pretty much clueless if you ask me.

Simply start expelling every single visa holder from a muslim country and we'll go along way towards reducing the danger.

No more tourist visas, no more student visas, no more visas period.

Then we forbid any foreign government from funding mosques.

Then we fire every single wahabbi imam in the US prison system and deport them back to Saudi.

That'll do for a start.

My thoughts exactly.

Once the government has a toe hold into which of our civil liberties to suspend, as Blankley is advocating, would we ever get them back? With the way our government is moving today I don't trust them as far as I can throw them.

Simple. You don't.

Read Robert Spenser’s “The Truth about Mohammad”. His final conclusion is to deport all Muslims and not allow any more into the US.

is in the hundreds of thousands, whereas they had previously
thought they were in the hundreds."

Actually radical Islam warrants the increased surveillance of muslims and not the general population.

Now, now. That's racial profiling. Off to a reeducation camp with you.

It's more satisfying to them to try to take away our rights than it is to target the culprits.

Pardon my intrusion in your post to another.

And when you are six feet under, sucking dirt, your civil liberties are cold comfort.

Some things are worth dying for as our ancestors can attest to.
