Ed Shultz blames Bush for Bridge Collapse

No, Im not kidding. Heres a paraphrase of what he said:
...the only reason Bush is talking about fatalities is because he didnt give MN enough money to maintain the bridge.
Right, Ed. Because its the President, and not Congress, who appropriates highway funds for roads and bridges.
Whats more, have we really departed so far from our federalist roots that were now blaming the President of the United States for not properly maintaining a bridge in Minneapolis (if that is indeed why the bridge went down)? What about local city officials? County road inspectors? State highway department people? The governor?
But hey, I guess this is what you get from a paid mouthpiece for the Democrat party.
Of course, Schultz isnt the only liberal driven to stupidity by the bridge collapse in Minnesota. Others are saying that the bridge collapsed because, get this, we arent paying enough in taxes. Again, Im not sure why the bridge in Minnesota collapsed (hasnt anyone been inspecting it?), but if more funding was needed to maintain it Congress could have cut back on the number of million dollar bus stops and bridges to nowhere theyve been building with our highway money.

The bridge collapsed in the middle of maintenance. The money must have come from somewhere.

And here in NC the D-rats have siphoned off $190,000,000 from the two highway trust funds this year.
They raid the funds each year, delay needed highway projects and complain that we need to put toll booths out on I-95 to raise highway funds.
And the majority of the voters believe them every election cycle.

Of for Pete's Sake! Get real!! Some people are so desperate to make the Rep party and the President look bad that they blame him for this? We live in a de-ranged society where no one knows how to take responsibility for anything any more, all they know how to do is lay blame everywhere else. Sad commentary on our society!
PING!

This is no surprise.
They were blaming the Feds for Katrina hours after it happened.
To: ljco
Uh, until last month, when did Dubya ever veto a spending bill of any sort?
My father and a few of my friends got into the “Dubya cut FEMA funding and that’s why NOLA was a mess” mantra. When pressed, they all claimed that Dubya veto’d the funding before Katrina.
I challenged them on that point, and in spite of numerous quotes saying that Dubya hadn’t vetoed any bill since he was POTUS, they still maintained their stance.
Sadly, the first casualty of activism is truth...

I have to admit, while watching the coverage of this last night on FNC, I kept thinking, "I'll bet the first Muslim in Congress gets in front of a camera and becomes the first person to blame G.W. Bush for this tragedy."
I am shocked that Ed Shultz beat him to the punch.

Sadly the feds did little to deflect the blame where it belonged at the state level and bush kept taking responsibility that fueled the attacks.

Don’t they know how really stupid they sound? The street light is burned out! It must be Bush’s fault! The paper is late! It must be Bush’s fault! I’ve got hemorrhoids, it must be Bush’s fault.....Who in HELL are they gonna blame when Jan 21, 2009 gets here?....

The same thing has been happening (until corrected by a plebiscite) here in Missouri. More than a third of moneys collected from motor fuels (road use tax) were diverted to keep bureaucrats at work in Jeff City.
To: ljco
Silly... the bridge clearly collapsed because of the guilt it felt over the unjust war in Iraq. Having to sit there day to day with the weight of the unjust war in Iraq, as well as the baseless allegations this Administration hurled at Osama Bin Laden was just too much for the Bridge to bear... and down it went. Clearly if we’d never invaded Iraq, the bridge would’ve never collapsed. :D

No doubt at all that this Ed Schultz (that's former Sgt, right) uses "Bush did it" as a code word for "the Jews".
These Nazis are getting quite tiresome. We need a regular housecleaning in this country.

Dear Mr. Schultz:
Bush, in fact, did do it.
He needed more blood from the infants on the schoolbus.
It was only luck and the valiant efforts of liberals that saved those kids.
But expect Bush to strike again! He needs the blood to make pastries from!
Love,

They raid the funds each year, delay needed highway projects and complain that we need to put toll booths out on I-95 to raise highway funds.Same problem here in Texas PLUS they start construction on projects all over town, half of which they don't work on most of the time and they play with the traffic light times (we've literally caught them) to clog traffic further to push their toll road agenda.
To: TWohlford
It won’t take much work to go back and get some of the anecdotal stories re Katrina and monies. There is even video of the NOLA “victims” swearing at Shepard Smith because the FEMA cards were frozen after the “victims” bought Gucci handbags and casino chips with the cards. Whenever anyone mentions Katrina to me, I round on them like a demented pitbull. I can’t stand that entire obscenity, and and and...RAY NAGIN GOT RE-ELECTED!!!
