A truly brilliant and thoughtful man.

He’s what we need in a President, but that’s very unlikely to happen any time soon. Instead, we’re set up to have a Commie with fat legs backed up by a black teenager with a nice smile.

Mitt Romney is out there on the stump telling it like it is about Hillary and Obama and Edwards, in an election where the odds favor the Democrats to win not just the White House but the whole ball of wax ... If only Alan could likewise be a champion for standing up to the REAL THREAT to our future freedom. tat would be great.

Here we have peanut gallery complaints about other Republicans with the base-deflating nihilistic conclusion: “none of the candidates being promoted for the Republican presidential nomination by the media touts and unprincipled party money bags represents a commitment to constitutional moral principle consistent with the party’s heritage.” Gee, what a revelation, the Pres hopefuls are human beings and, forced to run real races as real politicians, end up not been purist Gods. It took a genius with a PhD and the keen insight of Keyes to tell us? Like FR posters can’t figure this stuff out on our own? We can’t figure out that any candidate who actually has a chance of getting elected has to appeal to more than the 1% purist base on issue X? (or for Alan, “Issue A” and “Issue C”?)

Alas, Alan’s pontificating is in vain. More beating up on GOP candidates will only grease the skids for another Democrat President (Hillary/Obama ticket) to come in, appoint enough pro-abort Justices to USSC that keeps Roe v Wade the ‘law’ for another generation.

Alan Keyes: The best political friend Barack Obama ever had.

Final thought for ALL: Don’t tell me what you are against, tell me what you are FOR.

I’d love to have Duncan Hunter as president and Alan Keyes as Secretary of State, but it’s not going to happen.

Like it or not, but in today’s world we can only elect celebrities to the Presidency. Instant name recognition is the key.

The average American is busy making a living and taking care of his family, barely finding time to watch the news once/day — and that news is mostly about Paris Hilton. When election day rolls around, 40% of them make it to the polls and only about 40% of those have any idea who the candidates are before he gets to the booth, and no idea where anyone stands on any issue.

So, he votes for the Party his father told him was best and the names that he recognizes.

Sad, but true.

I am not in the habit of letting naysayers affect me.

Everyone I talk to about Duncan Hunter likes him alot.

How about we get to work electing the best candidate for this country, DUNCAN HUNTER?

Otherwise, we have nothing to say when the KING-MAKERS forcefeed us JUNK.

None of the GOP candidates are as principled as Ronald Reagan. There's a dearth of conservative leadership in this country. No one really excites me in the sense there is someone in our party willing to do what is right rather than what is politically expedient. Electoral victory will not restore our fortune as a movement built around hollow men with chests seeking to advance their own power and ambitions but who do not really care about the things we care about. That's why the base is decidedly unenthusiastic about the choices it has been offered.

I do not think it is a presidential candidate’s job to “excite” us.

Leaders are supposed to lead.

It is our job to do our homework and verify what the candidates have done and said on matters that affect this country.

Did you accept the media’s spin on the Regensburg address?
Or, did you go and check it out for yourself?

I suggest you go to www.gohunter08.com

and start checking out the facts.

You will find consistent conservatism and a long record of service to the country, not to himself. I am very impressed.

However, I never look for someone who thinks exactly like me. I could look in the mirror for that. Nor am I looking for a saviour-I already have one.

I am looking for the BEST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, AND THAT CANDIDATE IS DUNCAN HUNTER.

On this issue of life or death for the moral and political sovereignty of the American people, we are left with the tragic possibility that the issue of principle on which liberty depends will never be properly framed and debated for the people's decision. The further tragedy is, however, that without this debate, other life and death issues for the Republic cannot be seen and addressed as such. For in other vital areas — national security, immigration, taxation, education — the moral possibility of democratic self-government is at stake, as the general assault on the foundations of liberty takes its toll in every critical area of political decision.

From what I’ve observed, I’m satisfied that FRed is 100% pro-life. Annnd, he’s the knockout punch for the gun grabbing abortionist Rudy Giuliani. Focus on the enemy. Run, FRed, Run!!
