It's funny, liberals love SCOTUS precedents except United States V Brewster.

It said some of the documents had to be returned, but I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the left.

This is a good ruling.
And now they can convict Jefferson on the bribe and sent him to prison with Duke Cunningham.

Actually it ordered the DOJ to pay the electric bill. ;)

The court ruled that the DOJ can not have it’s own filter team, the court will act as the filter team of privilege documents.

That is a REALLY misleading headline; they were ordered to turn over PRIVILEGED documents, not all .. and, apparently, not the cash. Just meant to make the FBI/Executive Branch (since it’s under GOP control) look bad.

At least Duke will have seniority. Duke will get Top Bunk and can give Jefferson grief about only taking a 100k bribe and Duke can boast about taking millions in bribes.

This is a deliberately dishonest headline. The court did NOT "invalidate the search." The court only said that
some of the documents seized were privileged and only the (possibly) privileged documents had to be held, reviewed, and if necessary, returned.
I haven't read the whole decision. But I am certain that the trial court did not attempt to overrule a long-established Supreme Court decision about former Maryland Senator Danny Brewster. Evidence about his legislative acts were legitimate evidence in his bribery trial, where he was found guilty.
The Times might WANT for a black Democrat in Congress not be a bribe-taking crook. So, they lie about him to protect him from the consequences of his corrupt behavior.

The Court (Ginsberg presiding) reaffirmed a Democrat politician’s right to be corrupt. (Ruling would have gone the other way if Jefferson had been a Republican)
