Arabic is my native language as I am originally from Lebanon born there and lived there for 22 years.
Do you speak Arabic?

If General Petraeus is able to pacify Iraq, he should be a future Presidential contender.
To: navyguy
The more people learn Arabic and help our intelligence service the better we are in fighting this war on terror.

I said this before last week and I would like to repeat it again. Almost 10 days ago, I was monitoring one of the terrorist voice chat rooms. One guy who said that he lives in Iraq took the microphone and started to talk in almost a crying voice saying that "Jihad has failed in Iraq, and that the Iraqis are cowards and the vast majority of them do not want the Moujaheeden and the islamic state, but rather they want to live like the Americans". He ended his speech by saying to the members of the rooms "do not look for Jihad in Iraq it is all over". I was so happy to hear this. thanks, that's the BEST news I've heard for a long long time!

I guess these things take time?

"...Anbar Province, an example of what perseverance can accomplish..."
Bears repeating. Over and Over again. From the rooftops to the American public and the rest of the world.
It is perseverance that will save us all in the end.

Well it seems like that Marine will have to eat his cigar.
It has been a long road for our guys to travel. But things are certainly continueing to improve throughout Iraq.

“Of course we don’t see them on here now touting this great progress / success (leadpenny comes to mind).”
Be a man a ping em’ if your gonna piss on him. You say you come from a tougher school of thought. Fine...have it your way. Stop the personal attacking in the cowardly “no ping” style, or you’ll likely not find your environment comfortable. Do not misperceive this as a threat or a taunt.
