The University of Colorado announced Friday that Sallye McKee will become the first vice chancellor for diversity, equity and community engagement.
"I want students to say, 'Because I was at CU-Boulder, I'm able to live and work better as a leader in a global society,'" McKee said.
The new position elevates the dialogue about diversity to the chancellor's cabinet.

It must be so nice to have a job where you ‘increase awareness’ and ‘elevate dialogue’
Very productive...

It seems the University of Colorado has absolutely no concern for its reputation.

Consciousness raising, straight out of the Communist Handbook.

."...the first vice chancellor for diversity, equity and community engagement." Classic example of liberal speak nonsense. Shear idiocy.

In other words, more divisiveness, conflict and peecee coercion are coming, funded by Colorado taxpayers.

It did not work out so well with Ward, now they are trying a different tack.

Next, we must have an assistant chancellor for Carbon Neutrality, Climate Change and Global Warming. Maybe the Vice Chancellor for Laundry and Morale can piggyback the duties.

Head of diversity?
This really is silly. These liberals only do such things to make them feel better about themselves. I doubt any of this has any real impact on education or how people feel about themselves. No wonder people look at CU Boulder and laugh.
To: Mr. K
True - I wonder how a performance appraisal would be done on this person.

CU also wasted their student fee money by over paying Kofi for his short speech recently too.
The engineering, computer, medical schools... are apparently still good, but what is this new president thinking ?

The legislature should send this university a message even the CU idiots can understand--a major slash in their budget.

The new position elevates the dialogue about diversity to the chancellor's cabinet. What the heck does this mean? "Elevates the dialogue"? I still don't understand why "diversity" has to be mandated. I guess my dialogue isn't sufficiently elevated.

As I understand it, there is no oversight for CU spending by the state. If I remember right, there is no audit procedure possible. CU can spend what they want, ask for more, and never be held accountable.

The local school district up here in Longmont has several “Diversity Directors”. My take on it is that they ensure the illegal alien termites sucking off the taxpayers are getting the maximum amount of benefits.
