The collapse of the I-35W Bridge in Minneapolis is a tragedy of gargantuan proportions but it was followed by bravery, stories of heroism and miracles also on a grand scale.
Top fire fighter, Chief Jim Clark of the Minneapolis Fire Department exclaimed that the first miracle was the low death toll. Clark said, We were surprised that we didnt have more people seriously injured and killed, I think it was something of a miracle. With upwards of 500 cars crossing the bridge at any given moment that qualifies as a miracle for most of us.
Absurd statement to say the least.
...but it was followed by bravery, stories of heroism and miracles also on a grand scale.
That part is of the statement is profound however.
Can you imagine if those 55 kids hadn’t survived?
God was looking out for them.
