I may get flamed for this but for the record i have donated to Hunter and support him for President. He needs a new image. I know it sounds stupid and unfortunately it is but image means alot. Frankly he looked a bit goofy with his haircut that looked like my 6 year olds. He needs some style, he's a handsome guy and very articulate but he needs some style.
If you compare Rudy today to Rudy of 9-11 he looks younger, stronger and better. He dispensed with the comb over and slicked his hair back, he got a tan and some contacts. He looks 10 times better than he used to. Duncan Hunter could use some of that, not botox or anything but hey can anyone say that Reagan didn't have style to go along with his substance?

..normy, your qualifying statement of support smacks of the same tactic as seminar callers use on talk radio.
You can say and believe whatever you want--but please don't hide behind a statement of support, then immediately criticize DH for some ridiculous reason.
If you just can't control those urges, I would suggest contacting the campaign directly, otherwise save it.

I understand where you’re coming from, but look at how many people voted for Ross Perot!

If you just can't control those urges, I would suggest contacting the campaign directly, otherwise save it. Why? Isn't this site the preeminent Conservative site? Isn't FR here to discuss such topics?
If I said, 'I support Hunter but I think he should compromise on his support of the border fence or not be so pro life' maybe it would smack of a seminar caller. Instead I offered my opinion on where he lacks, which is not in the substance department.
Face it, style counts, if it didn't I believe Tommy Thompson would be doing better. If Mitt Romney didn't have style he wouldn't even be in the race. Hell McCain even came across well in that debate, he looked younger and stronger than he has in the past. If you think substance is all that matters in a campaign your wrong.

Yeah 19% and most were Conservatives who can look past such trivial things. Does anyone think Romney would be where he is if it were not for his looks? I am not saying he is an empty suit but come on.
I will guarantee that part of why Reagan sold to the vast majority of Americans was style. Many people of that day were articulating Reagans message but Reagan had the substance and wrapped a hell of a good style around it.

Agreed! Huckabee reminds me exactly of Bill Clinton, his mannerisms and everything. Maybe its an unfortunate Arkansas trait but he and Bill speak and act just alike in their mannerism at least.

LOL! Rep. Hunter, unlike some candidates we’ve heard about, doesn’t travel with a hair stylist. He is following a backbreaking routine of campaigning plus appearing regularly on the floor of Congress. In view of this fact, the man is positively amazing! If you want a fashion model, vote for Mitt Romney.
Style isn’t one of my prerequisites for president. I’ll take a man’s man every time, and besides being a man’s man, Rep. Hunter is a fine looking one, IMO. He is fascinating to watch because you see such sincerity in his face, noticeably lacking in others, and his voice absolutely rings with truth. What more could a good American want in a president I ask you?
Thanks for your support for him.

And speaking of LOGIC, does one have to be devoid of emotion to have logic? It worked for Spock.
To: Paperdoll
I agree but things are the way they are. I do not want a fashion model, but many people do regardless of message.
