[Florida] State Rep. Allen explains [Men's Room] sex case: Fear made me play along
Orlando Sentinel ^ | 3 August 2007 | Laurin Sellers

Posted on 08/06/2007 10:04:05 AM PDT by Alter Kaker

TITUSVILLE - State Rep. Bob Allen told police he was just playing along when a undercover officer suggested in a public restroom that the legislator give him oral sex and $20 because he was intimidated, according to a taped statement and other documents released Thursday.

Allen has already denied any wrongdoing, but the recordings and documents offered new details about what he and police say happened on July 11 inside the men's room at Veterans Memorial Park.

"I certainly wasn't there to have sex with anybody and certainly wasn't there to exchange money for it," said Allen, R-Merritt Island, who was arrested on charges of soliciting prostitution.

"This was a pretty stocky black guy, and there was nothing but other black guys around in the park," Allen, who is white, told police in a taped statement after his arrest. Allen said he feared he "was about to be a statistic" and would have said anything just to get away.

It's interesting how many front-runner GOP candidate state chairs are being arrested or investigated for moral turpitude.

It really is a fascinating coincidence.

Nothing prevented him from walking away. Soliciting any one for sex in public is stupid. I don't buy that shop-worn excuse. If he had any decency, he would resign!

I love Rep. Allen's excuse that the mere presence of a black man scared Allen into offering the black man $20 for the privilege of letting Allen perform oral sex on him.

Allen must have been really scared...

If he was that scared, why did he not just leave?.

You mean, if you found yourself alone at night in a restroom with a black man, you wouldn't be so scared you'd offer the guy $20 to let you perform oral sex on him?

What's wrong with you !?!

PAY $20 for...

How cheap. Negative $20. Prison would be an expensive hobby.

I agree. About a year or year and a half ago, there was some lib (can't remember where--maybe digg.com) who had this massive list of Republicans who'd been busted for sex offenses. I'd figured that the list was mostly bogus, so I started googling some of the names to disprove the guy. Imagine my distress when each of the names came back as a legitimate story. A lot of the people were lower-level and local Repub pols, but the number of people on the list would absolutely shock you. I probably looked into ten or so of the names, picking them from different parts of the list.

I'll see if I can find the list, but it's been a while and I don't remember where I saw it.

Any man who would allow himself to be defiled out of fear, isn't a man. A man would die first than allow himself to be dishonored. But they don't make men any more - they make Bob Allens these days.

My guess is that very likely the State Rep. has “issues” and that there may have been a political motive in going after him.

All that being said, however, doesn’t this sound like entrapment? I mean it was the undercover officer that propositioned the State rep - doesn’t that qualify as entrapment?

They have them all the time, not just before elections here in FL.......A former co-worker was caught in one, practically in the same circumstances. An undercover agent, night in a park known to be frequented by homosexuals. He was busted for soliciting sex for money, ie, backwards prostitution. He was offering to GIVE money...........

The undercover officer simply asked Allen for $20. Allen said he'd give him $20, but only if he dropped his trousers and let Allen perform oral sex on him. That's not entrapment.

“The scary black man made me do it.” said Representative “Susan Smith” Allen.

McCain better come down here and shut this idiot up soon. The last thing republicans need is some fat closeted homosexual slob using fear of black people as his excuse for deviant behavior. Before he opened his mouth, I did not think very much of this case. Now that this white fool has pulled the race card, I could throw up in his face. But he’d probably like that.

This card carrying member of the “stoopid” party still needs to explain why he was even in the park bathroom in the first place.

Please pardon my rant. This whole situation just makes me sick.

Funny, Anna Kournikova came to me with a crisp $20 last Tuesday - in fact, it happened in a park about 10 miles from here, but I refused her offer, emphasizing that I've trained myself to hold-off from blonde's until the weekend.

He was offering to GIVE money...........

A guy I knew in school was a very good looking guy - he used to get involved with every girl the rest of us wanted to date. Movie star looks.

Anyway, he had a job working as a bartender at a nice restaurant that was down the block from a gay bar.

He loved his job except for one thing: almost every night one or two of his customers would offer him cash if he would allow them to do things to him.

He had to turn down $100 bar tips on more than one occasion because accepting the cash as a tip implied that he was willing to play the game.

You have to ask for the money to arrest him on prostitution.

But his explanation reminds me of an old joke...
Three Big Game Hunters were captured by an extremely vicious tribe.
The chieftain, educated enough to have a primitive and demonstrative form of communication gave prisoners a choice: Death, which he illustrated with the sweep of a saber-—or ‘Roo-Roo.’
The first game-hunter, not knowing what ‘roo-roo’ was, chose death. And the chieftain promptly butchered him before everyone’s eyes.
The tribe yelled for more.
The second poaching jackass was given his choice. Seeing his colleague slaughtered like that, he wondered how bad the alternative could be before gambling: “Roo-roo.”
He was promptly bent over and everyone in the tribe who wanted to had at him. It took forever and was terrible, leaving him a broken shell, never to recover to the end of his shattered days.
Yet the crowd yelled for still more.
The chieftain took his time, whipping the suspense to a frenzy, before asking which the third man would choose: Death-—or ‘roo-roo.’
The third man had seen the shocking demise of the first by saber; but he had also seen the slow torture of the second man-—and there was pride to be considered, even in moments such as these.
“Death,” quoth the third poaching jackass.
“Ofay-dokey,” said the chieftain, holding up one finger in time-honored gesture as the crowd went wild, “but first we roo-roo!”

Don't get me wrong, this guy's post was only interested in Republicans who had committed sex offenses. I know that he's not interested in the Democrats who have done the same, and was ignoring them. I'd imagine that there are more Democrats than Republicans who have been busted for sex stuff, but the libs' point (which I think is valid) is that Republicans are pro-family values and should therefore hold themselves to a higher standard in this area or be guilty of hyprocrisy. It's one of the few times libs are right about our side.
