This is not a High Volume Ping List and is intended primarily to alert folks of the posting of the weekly Nascar qualifying and race threads.
Occasional sports or military or prayers Pings using the list may also be sent as situation or subject dictates.
Profanities, flame wars and belligerence in observing common sense rules and family decency standards on the thread may result in serious sanctions so be nice. :-)
We can’t be leavin’ a NASCAR gap ya know!
Aren’t you supposed to wait until labor day to announce? Oh wait, that’s something else...nevermind.
LOL, I ain’t never been first before. :)
I just can’t post in secret anymore around here!
You win a cookie! ;)
Them ol’ boys gonna let Robby drive this weekend? Sure do hope so! He’s hell on ‘em road courses!
Even before the ping!
Its Robby Gordons’ to lose. It’s his track.
He IS fun ta watch!
Since I’m cableless I’m missing alot of these summmer races. I think this is a road course race. If so Jeff Gordon might return to victory lane.

Thanks Norm & Sandrat! Great finds!

Hey Grok, we need the GROK Weather Map to complete the thread!
I love the glen. I saw my first race there in in October 1967. Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill finished 1-2 in the best looking F1 cars ever: the British racing green lotus.
I’m thoroughly NASCAR these days and am looking for the blue 2 to make it two in a row this weekend.
“Im thoroughly NASCAR these days and am looking for the blue 2 to make it two in a row this weekend.”
Sad. I’ve got to two Cup races, two Indy races, and one ARCA race this year (anyone else here come close to that?). I’ve enjoyed them all. I’d go to a dog race if I had a track nearby, and a horse race isn’t out of the question.
I guess I don’t see the reason why everyone settles into their “camps” and then shoots at everyone else.
I used to race the watkins glen all the time, one of my favorites..
yup, took two separate miniature race track kits and made a nice watkins glen track on my living room floor.
We are doing our best to discourage the gunfights. This ain't the OK corral and we are here to provide entertainment and laughs as well as legitimate commentary. Feel free to enjoy the race with us!
LOL. I’ve reconstructed Bonneville Salt Flats in my back yard!
Are they salt water ready? The tuna are just off shore...
Nope. Dry as a bone, and ready for racin.
That’s a lot safer than skateboard ramps lol, ya see the brainiac that took a 40 foot dive..
Skateboarder Talks About Big Fall
A skateboarder involved in a frightening fall at the X-Games last week is talking about his experience.
Jake Brown was performing a 720-degree spin when he lost control and crashed 40 feet to the ground. Brown said he twisted his body on purpose during the fall.
“I’m like, ‘I don’t want to smash my face off, so I’ll turn around, take to the legs, the back and the head and just disperse the energy of the slam,’” Brown said.
Brown was unconscious for a few minutes, but then managed to walk off the ramp. Brown suffered a lung injury and a wrist fracture, but said he would be back on the skateboard soon.
You get tuna that close in? wow..
No... got youtube?
I saw him on TV tonight and it looked like he was born with brain damage...
Just ignore me. I read from the bottom of the thread up. It’s kinda dangerous, but it’s a habit.
And that, sports fans, reminds me of a Dave Barry column, where he describes having the same affliction. He’s talking about the instructions for putting a gas grill together. He starts: Light Gas.
6 or 7 miles out late last week. We need to can Tuna again this year. Stinky mess but good eats...
Well...there you go again. Talking to yourself

That’s where the Poof in Cheesy poofs comes from..
I seem to be 11 seconds off. I’ll try to get recalibrated before Sunday.
Maybe. But I put up a good argument.
No ya don’t.

And on that note, my fair left coast friends, I’ll say, um, well, something cool in some foreign language that means I have to wake up at 4am and I’m going to keel over now.

Get some rest, see ya ‘round.
