Only in terms of book-keeping. If Thompson wants to campaign under, for the most part, stricter rules than his competitors, that's his decision.
He needs to start campaigning now so he can raise money so he can campaign? Doesn’t that seem a little circular to you? It sure seems like he’s going to get a lot of free publicity. And a lot of these others are gonna drop out. Rudy can raise all the money he wants, he’s not getting the nod. Maybe Fred is wrong. But he’s trying a different approach, not far off from what Newt has been advocating. It’ll be interesting to watch, and let the chips fall. Fred can get it whenever he damn well wants, far as I’m concerned.
No, he needs to DECLARE now so he can start campaigning and raise money.
He is campaigning, or else we wouldnt all be talking about him.
>> Fred had better not do a Perot on us.....acting all presidential all the while knowing that his only job is to derail another candidate...
I must’ve missed the video of Ross Perot “acting all presidential”.
Also - since Thompson won’t be a third party candidate, he cannot derail the eventual Republican nominee (whether the nominee is Thompson, Romney or Giuliani).
Personally - I’m rooting for a Thompson/ J.C. Watts ticket. Rudy Giuliani can have the Office of Homeland Security.

>Fred Thompson on the Move<
OMG! You mean he actually got out of that swivel chair by the sindow? ;)
>He nust needs to go ahead and declaire and stop piddling around.<
Don’t panic. When you’ve got the Establishment behind you, what more do you need? ;)
How did your boy Duncan Hunter do at the Ames straw poll? Hahahahahaha!!
Just keep laughting, 2nd. Just keep laughing. :)
Don’t worry, I am! Fred didn’t spend a dime in Iowa and he still beat several of the declared candidates, including yours, that campaigned in Iowa! What does that tell you, doll? Might want to bet on another horse, my friend...
