As they say, an affair is simply a symptom of the real problem.

And who exactly is "they"? Common sense tells you that adultry doesn't "just happen". Rather it takes great planning and deception so you don't get caught. By the time you decide this is the route you want to go, you have already decided to divorce. So why not get the divorce first and then do whatever you choose with whoever?

No innocent spouse should have to visit his/her doctor for infections, STD's, HIV tests etc. And every spouse who has been cheated on should do this. While many see humor in adultry, infections can lead to hysterectomies in women and ascending renal infections in men. Not so funny for the recipient.
