THE ISSUE: Caroline Giuliani's support for Sen. Barack Obama
**** Giuliani will not fit the mold of the ideal conservative candidate. We need another candidate, not to just announce conservative values, but to live them. NAME REDACTED Brookville
**** In 1956, Adlai Stevenson's ex-wife wrote to Chicago newspapers detailing why she was voting for President Eisenhower. Brooklyn

Rooty's son Andrew rcently outed his father as an absent Dad ruled by a shrewish third wife who orders him to stay away from his children. At the time, an astounding 88% of those polled had a negative reaction upomn hearing Rooty did not attend Andrew's graduation.
Rooty's children (who do not use their father's last name) remember all too well how Rooty dumped them and their mother to be with his mistress (now his third wife).
With his mistress waiting in the wings, then-Mayor Rudy actually called a press conference to publicly announce his separation from his second wife EXCEPT THAT HE HAD NOT BOTHERED TO TELL HIS THEN-WIFE, DONNA HANOVER, BEFOREHAND. Rudy then publicly announced to the press his separation from his wife who had no inkling she was being dumped.
At that time, Rudy was taking his mistress---not his wife--- to cancer treatment sessions. He never bothered to tell his wife about his illness. Rudy then decided he could not live with his sex playmate out of his reach, and planned to bring his mistress into the Mayoral home (on the spurious claim that Hanover wasn't helping him through cancer treatments---an illness he had not even bothered to tell his wife about).
Rudy publicly announced he wanted to "divide the mayoral home" in two, one side for his wife AND one side mistress---a transparent ploy to force his wife and children out into the streets.
Public documents indicate Hanover was forced to go to court to declare Gracie Mansion the marital home so as to exclude Rudy's sex playmate. The judge acquiesced to Hanover's plea. Thwarted but not defeated, Rudy moved in with a happily civil unioned gay couple while his wife fended off Rudy's relentless efforts to ditch her. On Mother's day 2000, while still married, Rudy publicly paraded his mistress up and down Second Avenue for newspaper pictures.
The evilness of this marital betrayal astonished even blasé New Yorkers.
Giuliani's vendetta against his wife and children was still not sated. Public documents indicate Rudy cut the security detail his wife, thus endangering the mother of his children......but Rooty provided government security to his mistress Judi who had no official duties (unless you consider getting Rudy sexually blitzed an "official duty".)
>>LIBERAL APPLE FALLS FAR FROM GIULIANI TREE<<
Even with a cross wind there is a limit to how far from the tree an apple will fall.
Rudy on his worse day is still far better than Sh*tlary or Osama.
If his daughter is a liberal, it’s comforting that she doesn’t support him.
You know what is a little scary - If Rudy/Obama got together. Rudy’s policies are not so different that it would keep Obama supporters for voting for them. I’m not sure there is a pairing that would beat them.
But, being an optimist, I don’t expect that to happen. I am getting my check ready to send to Fred Thompson as soon as he declares.
Hey FRED do you hear me?
It’s no doubt good that the truth about this guy gets out there, but I have never considered it to be a possibility that Rooty could gain the nomination, much less win the Presidency. By now, though, his already failed candidacy is a non-issue.
And dieing instantly from a gunshot to the head is better than dieing slowly from cancer or AIDS. So what's your point?
Very debatable at the least>
Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Rudy.... all liberals.
Never trust any liberal!
IF the apple is liberal, then it did NOT fall far from the tree.
Wow. Not spoken like a true conservative. Rooty is an abortionist, that marks him as evil. He has no respect for the Constitution or the unborn. If you like Rooty Toot, you must like liberalism. Its impossible to separate the two.
WHY DOES THE NEW YORK POST HAVE TO PUT ALL OF ITS ARTICLES IN CAPS?
Looks like you've already surrendered and accepted a liberal as the GOP nominee. Silly you. Not gonna happen.
BS, you appear to only see Black and White. I am not an one issue voter the focuses on abortion as my political philosophy. The fact is that most people in this country do not want to criminalize abortion. I don’t like it but, frankly, I don’t have a problem with first trimester abortions, or abortions to save the life of the woman.
Tell me, if your Wife or Daughter was raped and got pregnant, what would you do?
If Fred Thompson makes it official, conservatives will have a viable candidate to support. He'll still have to prove himself worthy of conservative support. I think there is a good chance he can. Two of his priorities are reforming the federal tax code and reforming SocSec and Medicare entitlements. FredT believes in Federalism, aka. limited government.
The best news in the GOP nomination process so far? FredT has knocked a significant amount from Rooty`s support. With more to come.
NY POST REPORT: RUDY BACKS OBAMA PLAN During the recent GOP presidential debate in Iowa, all the other Republican candidates slammed Obama for saying he would go after terrorists in Pakistan if that country's leadership refused to do so...... Giuliani said Obama had a point.
I believe that life begins at conception. That is not BS. And this debate goes beyond the abortion issue.
Liberals like Hillary, Obama, Edwards and Giuliani support big government and expanding welfare state entitlements. They advocate gun control and abortion on demand, gay rights and amnesty for illegals, along with advancing liberal global warming BS that man is destroying the environment. That is not what conservatism or the GOP stand for.
As Mayor of NYC Rooty did nothing to reduce city services or cut spending. He left behind a huge deficit and an expanded debt, exceeded only by the federal debt. A debt higher than the shortfall for the entire state of California at the time.
Rudy is not someone who can be trusted on social issues or fiscal issues. He is a first class opportunist, an authoritarian and would be better suited as a Democrat, than a Republican. A vote for Rooty Toot is a vote for liberalism.
If you want a more authoritarian, bullying, more intrusive, more controlling, all-powerful, big government knows best, 'Big Brother' type of government,,,,,
headed by a pro-abortion, pro-amnesty, pro-litigation, gun-grabbing, gay-rights crusading, condescending, arrogant, and narcissistic LIBERAL, New York pit bull lawyer who believes in sanctuary cities, global warming, and using our tax money for Federally-funded abortions,,,,
who worked in the Bobby Kennedy campaign, voted for George McGovern, who first ran for mayor as a candidate of the LIBERAL PARTY, who as mayor publicly distanced himself from Ronald Reagan, who vocally supported and proudly endorsed a far-left, liberal, big-government, socialist, democrat like Mario Cuomo over the Republican candidate for governor (because the Republican wanted to cut taxes too much),,,,
who was SO liberal that he wasnt even invited to the Republican Convention in 96--after refusing to endorse (until the last minute) the Republican candidate opposing Clinton,,,,
and a cousin-marrying, Clinton-apologist--whose personal life is an absolute TRAIN WRECK (and whose public cheating on his wife almost makes Bill Clinton look like a decent family man and loving husband--if that is even possible),,,,
a LIBERAL like Rudy JulieAnnie is JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB!!!!
Giulilani turned around NYC bigtime. What he accomplished is amazing. It is understandable that he could not do all that he wanted.
I think he will focus on national defense and security, along with fiscal responsibility. If you don’t agree, I understand. I will support Rudy if the gets the nomination, and do with with vigor.
Yeah, he voted for it, but that is not a total disqualifier. After all, Pres Bush signed CFR into law.
"Conceding that McCain-Feingold hasnt worked as intended, and is being riddled with new loopholes, he throws his hands open in exasperation. Im not prepared to go there yet, but I wonder if we shouldnt just take off the limits and have full disclosure with harsh penalties for not reporting everything on the Internet immediately.
Talk about a campaign killer. Rooty's third wife is the equivalent of swallowing arsenic.
NBC did a great hit piece on the snarky couple last PM ----actually showed the never-before-seen vid of Rooty saying Jooty is a "bio-terror expert."
(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)
Rooty has also said he employs Jooty's "expertise" when consulting clients in his several global consulting businesses.
Guess nurse Jooty "learned bio-terrorism" as a puppy-stapling, medical supplies salesman (snicker).
NBC also snipped the devastating 20/20 tidbit showing Rooty saying Jooty would "sit in" on Cabinet meetings (sounded like he'd even give her a Cabinet seat).
After that bombshell, Rooty dropped 20 points---and has lost about 25 points, to date.
I wonder if Rooty's still in love? ROTFLMCO.
"Even with the tax cuts of the last several years, New York remains by far the most heavily taxed big city in the country."
TAXES: From 1996-2001 Giuliani and the City Council agreed to reduce mariginal city income taxes by some $2.0-billion, an effort that offset the $1.8-billion tax increase put in place by Mayor Dinkins a few years earlier. So in reality, individual city income taxes were actually cut by a modest $200-million. Freezing the 12.5% surcharge on high wage earners was good, but Giuliani made no effort to abolish that surcharge. Nor did Giuliani attempt to make permanent changes to the city income tax code. The primary reason Rudy and the City Council agreed to cut business taxes, was to make NYCity more appealing to companies thinking about locating/relocating to the Big Apple. A smart move, however, when Rudy left office he left NYCity straddled with some of the highest income taxes, property taxes and utility rates in the entire nation.
GOVERNMENT SPENDING: Spending under Rudy`s reign as Mayor went up 35.6%, compared to the inflation rate of 22.2%. Rudy left NYCity with a projected, pre-9/11 deficit of $2.0 billion and an increased debt total topping $42-billion. Second largest debt after the federal government. Giuliani also added 15,000 new teachers to the city employment rolls. Increasing the membership of two major liberal organizations, the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).
"The scope of government was not reduced at all. The mayor abandoned his most visible initiative in this spherethe proposed sale of the city hospital systemafter a struggle with the unions and defeats in the courts. He did cut costs in social services; even before the new federal welfare reforms took effect in 1997, the city had begun to significantly reduce caseloads. But money saved on social services has only helped to subsidize big increases in other categories. Today the array of social services sponsored and partially funded by the cityfrom day care to virtually guaranteed housingis as wide as ever.
"In the final analysis, Mayor Giuliani sought to make the city deliver services more efficientlynot to make the city deliver fewer services. Gains in efficiency were offset, however, by a spike in the costs of outsourced contracts (see point 2 below). Thus, in two areas where inroads might have been made, the city instead failed to reduce spending."
"1. Personnel Increases. In 199596, the city entered into a series of collective bargaining agreements with its public-employee unions. In addition to granting pay increases that ended up roughly equaling inflation, the city promised not to lay off any workers for the life of the contracts. These agreements were expected to add $2.2 billion to the budget by fiscal 2001. But that estimate didnt reckon with renewed growth in the number of city employees. After dipping in Giulianis first two years, the full-time headcount rose from 235,069, in June 1996 to over 253,000 by November 2000. Thanks largely to this growth in the workforce, the total increase in personnel service costs since 1995 has been $4 billion.
2. "Outsourced Services. The failure to shrink the scope of city government made it all the more imperative that Mayor Giuliani vastly increase its efficiency. In the attempt to increase productivity, the mayor farmed out some city services to private contractors. But as the number of outsourced contracts doubled under Giuliani, contractual expenses also nearly doubledfrom $3 billion to $5.8 billion. While it may be argued that the city saved money by outsourcing these services, the net savings turned out to be marginal at best. In practice, outsourcing proved to be more of a bargaining chip in negotiations with unions than a serious means of pruning expenses."
Hard evidence that Rudy Giuliani was NO fiscal conservative. Another run-of-the-mill NYCity liberal.
How do we know it’s not just a political publicity stunt so he can pose as Reagan’s ghost? When I heard that, my first thought was of Ronald Reagan.
Many liberals and libertarians would agree with you.
As a conservative, I do not. Read #32 and get back to me later. Gotta run.
I could never, EVER vote for Giuliani. I could never vote for him because I feel strongly that (as I oft state on here)...
Liberal Republicans are much more dangerous than liberal democrats,,,,
because liberal Republicans (like JulieAnnie) BLUR THE DISTINCTION between conservatism and liberalism,,,
making LIBERALISM MUCH MORE ACCEPTABLE!!!
The permanent loss of 'conservative identity' of the Republican Party is much, MUCH too high of a long-term price to pay.
Production style-—looks better on newsprint.
You got that right. In point of fact, Rooty is on-record as conniving with his handlers to ditch social conservatives off the Repub party lifeboat.
That makes Rooty an individual very dangerous to the workings of democracy.
Rooty would handover the reins of the entire US government to liberals-----the system of checks and balances the Founders wisely wrote into the fledgling government would be decimated.
LOL Maybe she had some experience in the coal mines of Hazleton. All the nobody high school classmates of her’s are coming out of the shadows and saying how “beautiful she was”. I have to laugh anything to get in the paper and kiss the ass of her parents and family. Rudy shelled out money to buy Judy’s dirt poor parents a condo in Florida. If I was one of Rudy’s kids I would make sure to get some of the money before it is spent on Judy’s Hazleton family. MEOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
All Repubs want to know is this:
When did Jooty register as a Republican?
How many PA Repubs did Jooty vote for?
As a NYC resident, did Jooty vote for Mayor Rooty?
Did Jooty vote for GWB?
The Washington Post recently reported that one of his companies, Giuliani Capital Advisors "was sold for an undisclosed amount as Giuliani was preparing his run for president." The Post article also discloses that Giulianis secretive lobbying firm, Giuliani Partners, has made more than $100 million over the last five years and that Giulaini's clients "are required to sign confidentiality agreements, so they do not comment about the work they receive or how much they are paying for it.
Though now running for president, Giuliani refuses to identify his clients, disclose his compensation, or reveal any details about Giuliani Partners. He also declined to be interviewed about the firm."
The paper provided some details, based "on a review of corporate, government and court records, along with scores of interviews with clients and government officials who have interacted with Giuliani Partners."

MORE BACKGROUND Giuliani firm has Venezuela ties

The law firm headlined by presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani does business with a company tied to Venezuelan leader Hugo Chávez, who has called President Bush ``the devil.'' Bracewell & Giuliani lobbies on behalf of Texas-based Citgo Petroleum, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Venezuelan oil company controlled by Chávez. The Bush administration said last year that Venezuela was ''not cooperating fully'' with antiterrorism efforts, stopping one step short of grouping the country with state sponsors of terrorism like Iran, Syria and Cuba. Giuliani, the former New York City mayor best known for his leadership after the Sept. 11 terrorism attacks, does not personally lobby for Citgo, though he is a senior partner at the firm and shares in its profits. Global Rooty can't seem to get the message----a candidate who does not perceive issues through the prism of the red, white, and blue, gets his walking papers. So, let me be the first to tell Rooty----"thanks, but no thanks."
Hey, I don’t trust a damn person in politics anymore, liberal or conservative. I trusted George W. Bush with my money and my vote twice only to be stabbed in the back. As far as I’m concerned, they can all go jump in a lake.
When I look at 2008, I see two categories of candidates. Those who would be my worst nightmare, and those who I wouldn’t like but can learn to live with.
“And dieing instantly from a gunshot to the head is better than dieing slowly from cancer or AIDS”
And either of those choices would be better at this point than having to put up with any of the crappy candidates on the ballot as president for the next 4-8 years.
Not so sure. That's why I can never support him.
Great job Liz as always.
Yes, but that's easy to say, of course, because it will never be an issue.
Ronald Reagan had two natural children with Nancy that were libs and didnt support his policies.
The difference is that Reagan was an actual conservative. Rudy's kids are just doing so because they hate him.
Hey. I didn’t say I’m a Rudy fantaic or anything like that. He won’t get a dime from me. Neither will Thompson for that matter. But when I go into vote if I have to choose between Rudy & Hillary, I will take Rudy.
It is good to see political rationality.
You maybe willing to live with Giuliani as your leader. Not me.
Informed conservatives want no part of Rooty and his liberalism.
