News agency Reuters has been forced to admit that footage it released last week purportedly showing Russian submersibles on the seabed of the North Pole actually came from the movie Titanic.
The images were reproduced around the world - including by the Guardian and Guardian Unlimited - alongside the story of Russia planting its flag below the North Pole on Thursday last week.

Reuters just needs to buy and save Weekly World News to build a stronger platform for their editorial philosophy. ;)

Hmmm. I copied the picture credit without thinking. Somebody gave Reuters credit for a photo IN A STORY ABOUT HOW IT WASN'T THEIR PHOTO.
At least I am not in the journalism biz.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, and Reuters gets the pictures wrong....

Back in the 50's BBC and Reuters were considered the "titans" of the news industry when it came to accuracy and accountability.
Turns out they were the "Titanics" of the industry who let the liberals take the wheel and plowed them right into their current *iceberg.

The deception was only revealed after a 13-year-old Finnish schoolboy contacted a local newspaper to tell them the images looked identical to those used in the movie. The Emperor has on clothes on!

Perhaps Rooters could patch things up by holding a Press

Reminds me of the August 03 New York blackout when serious journalist Ted Koppel was interviewing a person “Bob” who was stuck in the subway. Bob told Ted about a concern for running into the characters from “Beauty and the Beast.” Ted keeps taking it all very seriously and doesn’t realize it’s a prank until the caller Babba Booeys him. What an idiot! Look out, it’s Vincent!

Michelle Kosinski was on assignment for The Today Show in October, 2005 covering the Northeast floods and “reporting” live from a canoe. Two guys inadvertantly walked in front of the camera showing that the whole thing was staged and the water was barely ankle-deep. It was just another “fake but accurate” story from a dying, socialist “mainstream” Democrat newsroom.
