Mexico is demanding the United States conduct an investigation following the shooting death of a man who allegedly tried to cross the border into the U.S. illegally.
U.S. authorities say a border patrol agent shot and killed a suspected smuggler of illegal immigrants on Wednesday at the fence that separates the southern U.S. city of El Paso, Texas, from Mexico. U.S. authorities say the man tried to hit the agent with a rock and was holding bolt cutters in his other hand.
Mexico's Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the Mexican government opposes the use of lethal weapons "in situations that do not represent a proportionate risk."
The incident is the latest of several border shootings that have strained relations between the United States and Mexico.
Some information for this report was provided by AP and Reuters.

What about the times drug runners shoot at our border agents, are they going to investigate them?
Mexico doesn’t give a &$#@$ about its oun people, in fact, their cops are known to abuse, rape, kidnap, help smugglers, imprison foriegners on bogus charges, and murder Americans.
Where are THOSE investigations?????????????

the Mexican government opposes the use of lethal weaponsYeah right, only in the hands of others.

What’s this? The Mexican government opposes the use of lethal weapons? Well, I oppose the invasion of my country by Mexicans. So, Mexican government, you have a choice: Call off the invasion or the invaders suffer the consequence. Get it?

Mexico's Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the Mexican government opposes the use of lethal weapons "in situations that do not represent a proportionate risk" Perhaps your browser dropped the last part of the statement.
Here it is, "such as anyone trying to illegally cross our southern border."

If three loud orders to “Alto, Alto, Alto” (Halt, Halt, Halt) doesn’t achieve the desire reaction then the forth sound should be a rifle shot...
Border jumpers are entitled to no more than fair warning...and a final opportunity to reconsider their options.....
Period..

I wonder if they have read Charles Askins’book UNREPENTANT SINNER. Shooting Mexican smugglers near El Paso in the 1930’s was great fun!

No kidding.
Mexico's Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the Mexican government opposes the use of lethal weapons "in situations that do not represent a proportionate risk."
Since they can't know what "risk" was present. They are saying apriori that they NEVER will tolerate any self-defense by U.S. personnel against their invasion. And every single instance of it will trigger their instant politicization of it.
Rather cheeky of them.
And this White House for letting them.
