As a gesture of goodwill all the Taliban should let everybody go and go home to their villages and take up useful hobbies such as basket weaving.

a "gesture of goodwill,"

Oh, NOW they're into goodwill gestures. AFTER they've already murdered a couple of hostages.

Too late ya bastards.

They’d use the baskets to transport bombs... no doubt.

update to AFP article

GHAZNI, Afghanistan (AFP) - The Taliban Saturday freed two women among 21 South Korean hostages held in Afghanistan as a “gesture of goodwill,” a spokesman for the militia told AFP.

“Our leadership council decided to free unconditionally and as a gesture of goodwill two women hostages who are sick,” said spokesman Yousuf Ahmadi.

A second spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahed, confirmed the two women had been released.

No officials, from either the South Korean embassy in Kabul or the Afghan government, were able to confirm that any hostages had been freed.

If the women had not yet arrived at an agreed handover point, “transportation difficulty” would be the reason, Ahmadi said.

“But what I can tell you is the leadership council has said they must be freed, so they’re freed,” he said.

The decision came hours after Taliban representatives concluded the first face-to-face talks with a South Korean delegation in the town of Ghazni, 140 kilometres (90 miles) south of Kabul.

Mujahed said release would “show that we’re honest in our talks and expect the government to be honest and free our prisoners,” he said.

The police chief of Ghazni, Alishah Ahamdzai, told AFP earlier there had been an agreement to free “some” of the hostages, but this could not be immediately confirmed with other officials.

Taliban representatives who met the South Korean team had earlier reiterated their demand that some Taliban must be freed from prison in exchange for the lives of all the hostages, a condition the government has rejected.

I have a better “gesture of goodwill’in mind.Release all the hostages and we won’t execute all the Taliban prisoners in the entire country. This s—t needs to stop NOW,and the only thing these animals understand is brute force.

I’ve got a good gesture for the Taliban.

Imagine the braintrust that thought two brutal murders and the remaining hostages would be forgotten in the moment of celebration for the release of the two.

Bloodthirsty co—suckers can’t change the world’s opinion of themselves, until they stop revealing Allah’s character in such disgusting ways.

I’m going to suggest that everyone read a book (it’s fiction, but I think the author has a great idea here) called “Soft Targets” by Dean Ing. His idea is to ridicule them. Constantly. I like it. I found a copy on Amazon for $.01 (+ $3.99 shipping, of course.)

I’d read it before, decided I need my own copy.

Farmer Dean, I’m also on board with you on execution of terrorist in prison when their group murders hostages. I’ll happily pull a trigger, or a knife or sword blade.

I wish we could turn the tables on these Islamo-fascist bastards: announce that if all of the hostages are not released unharmed, promptly, we will begin executing Taliban and Al Qaeda scum, very publicly. IF any hostages are killed, all available Taliban and Al Qaeda scum will be promptly executed, and (finally) all-out Armaggeddon will be unleashed upon Taliban sanctuaries (Hussein Obama should approve). Liberals would squeal but it’s just what the vermin deserve — we should never be keeping them alive for any purpose except to extract useful intel. For their terrorist deeds, they deserve the death penalty anyway.
