A service offering a complete "revenge package" in which people can destroy the financial status and relationships of their enemies at the click of a mouse is being offered over the Internet.
For as little as $20 a month, customers of the confidentialaccess.com Web site can make the credit ratings of people they dislike plummet, and even have them suspected of fraud...

Sounds like the owners of this website are asking for the same fate as that Russian spam king from a few years back - beat to death with a baseball bat in his own flat.

Why waste 20 bucks, A call to the IRS is free and it can ruin your life too. /sarc
My dad was recently "audited". No indiscretions of course since he is an honest taxpayer but he had to pay an accountant quite a bit. He had to go back years through old files and try to round up receipts for old deductions. It cost him a ton of time and money, and of course he has done nothing wrong.

They might as well charge $1.00 since they are just going to harvest credit card numbers and — possibly — blackmail the users of their service.

Nothing illegal, no “ruining lives” but practical jokes for revenge? Sure.

The nice thing about this scam is they will only be taking money from nasty people who want to ruin other people’s lives for $20. I can think of no group more worthy of being fleeced.

Yep. The irony is they can buy any of a dozen books I could name (but won’t in an open forum for the obvious reason) for the same $20, or even less.

Take their money via c-card, sell those numbers, do absolutely nothing for the money, stall any and all attempts at reimbursements until they’re too hot, and make money on the interest. Just like the other online scammers, but hooking those with nasty intent makes it almost funny.

It will be interesting to see if they have enough protection to get away with this. I doubt that an individual will be able to even find them much less do anything about stopping them. After all your credit rating now can be ruined by a reporting agency without any recourse.
A lot of what they claim to do could be done by an individual but probably not worth the risk. Fake documents don't seem to be very hard to get in the US, at least for illegals. Seems that at least part of what they are doing is taking advantage of the fraudulent "credit system" which is so arbitrary about ratings.

Hi Rameumptom,
I went through a similar ordeal, had to pay a quality lawyer quite a bit of money I couldn’t affort to deal with a mistaken identity problem. Someone had the same name as me, and had an offshore credit card and account. Cost a lot to show them that it couldn’t have been me.
Good lawyers are worth the money, though. I suspect if I didn’t have one I’d still be hounded.

Really... why don’t they just offer contract killings on their webpage?
It won’t last, they’ll be broke and in jail soon.
I only wonder how many copy-cat sites will appear, including those that are similar but legal and can’t be shut down.
To: JTHomes
The more I think about it- these people are
so dead. They never heard of forgery? They seriously think that large financial institutions will allow false applications and harassment of their customers?
The law will come down like a ton of bricks. They'd be in less trouble for bank robbery soon.

NEVER give them too comfortable a place to work. They will hang out for days.
