VA-Page: Page County Immigration
WHSV-TV3 Harrisonburg Va. ^ | 2007-08-10 | Kelly Creswell

Page County Supervisor Charles Hoke is looking into what other counties in Virginia have done to curb illegal immigration. But this supervisor says local governments can't take this issue on by themselves.

Hoke says there is a legal way for immigrants to come into the country. They just need to follow the immigration laws. However Hoke says, many aren't following those laws.

"Why should someone else come to this country, and disregard our laws and be treated better than the people that are here as far as the immigration system," says Hoke. "We do have a good immigration system, we just need to have it applied to everyone fairly."

Looking at the resolutions Prince William and Loudon County enacted, Hoke wants to see a similar resolution that covers three issues giving illegals incentives to become legal in the United States.

Hoke's first proposal is if a newborn's parents are illegal immigrants, than the child should be denied a birth certificate. The second proposal penalizes employers with heavy fines for hiring illegals. And the third denies illegals the services that are funded by taxpayers.

Hoke admits this can't be done alone, and he says localities need to bond together to get something done.

How about doing this:

Newt Gingrich is recommending also that the President should call Congress back from the month long vacation to pass the following law. This is in response to the three teenagers that were killed in New Jersey by an illegal.

The Aeriel-Harvey-Hightower Act to Protect Americans

The Aeriel-Harvey-Hightower Act should be very simple and straightforward:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security will jointly outsource the development of a virtually real-time identification system to check legal status of felons and have it up and running by Jan. 1, 2008. The system should be measured against the speed of automatic teller machines and should be run by private-sector companies who know how to build and maintain real-time identification systems and how to combat fraud.

Every person arrested for a felony will be checked against the federal data base, and unless there is positive proof they are American citizens or legal residents in America, they will be presumed to be here illegally and will be detained.

Any city, county or state that refuses to participate in checking every felony arrest will immediately lose all their federal aid.

No illegal alien criminal will be released back into the American population to prey upon Americans. After they finish time for their crime, they will be retained until deported. Retention and deportation will be the responsibility of the federal government, and every state and local authority that has criminals serving time who prove to be illegal aliens will turn them over to federal authorities when their local or state conviction is completed.

All current prisoners will be screened to identify who is in the United States illegally, and the illegal alien prisoners will be turned over to the federal government for deportation.

This is good. The liberals are two small in number and funds to check this movement and stop it in all the counties in the USA where it is catching on!!

Eagles Up!!
