EVANSVILLE, Ind. - A woman was sentenced to 30 days in jail for claiming in court that she was her son's wife. Christopher Crowe, 25, was in court recently to plead guilty to four felony counts including residential entry and domestic battery.
During the hearing, the judge asked if Crowe's wife agreed with the plea deal.
Crowe's mother, 47-year-old Rebecca Crowe, stood up, said she was Crowe's wife and said the plea agreement was OK.
Later, Vanderburgh County Deputy Prosecutor Anna Clutter discovered Rebecca Crowe's identity when she saw a picture of Christopher Crowe's wife, a much younger woman.
Courtroom personnel later admitted they thought the woman looked too old.
TOPICS: Crime/Corruption
KEYWORDS: mom; sentenced

The plea deal should be thrown out since the perp participated in a conspiracy by not correcting the false statement that his mother was his wife. He should be charged with perjury, conspiracy to commit perjury, fraud, and anything else they can throw at him to increase his sentence.

I’m expecting someone to ask for or post pictures so proper guilt or innocence can be determined.

This is why I’m FROM Evansville. Oh, Evansville! Where folks think of family reunions as a dating opportunity as this case illustrates.

Kinda looks like Joe Walsh of the Eagles.

From the Bible to the popular song, There's one theme that we find right along. Of all ideals they hail as good, The most sublime is Motherhood.
There was a man, oh, who it seems, Once carried this ideal to extremes. He loved his mother and she loved him, And yet his story is rather grim.
There once lived a man named Oedipus Rex. You may have heard about his odd complex. His name appears in Freud's index 'Cause he loved his mother.

There’s one theme that we find right along;
Of all ideals they hail as good,
The most sublime is motherhood.
There was a man though, who it seems,
Once carried this ideal to extremes.
He loved his mother and she loved him,
And yet his story is rather grim.
There once lived a man named Oedipus Rex,
You may have heard about his odd complex.
His name appears in Freud’s index
‘Cause he loved his mother.
His rivals used to say quite a bit
That as a monarch he was most unfit.
But still in all they had to admit
That he loved his mother.
Yes, he loved his mother like no other,
His daughter was his sister and his son was his brother.
One thing on which you can depend is,
He sure knew who a boy’s best friend is.
When he found what he had done,
He tore his eyes out, one by one.
A tragic end to a loyal son
Who loved his mother.
So be sweet and kind to mother,
Now and then have a chat.
Buy her candy or some flowers,
Or a brand new hat.
But maybe you had better let it go at that.
Or you may find yourself with a quite complex complex
And you may end up like Oedipus.
I’d rather marry a duck-billed platypus
Than end up like old Oedipus Rex.

I hear they are putting the finishing touches on the first Eagles recording in 28 years. Know what that means...a tour to follow. I last saw the Eagles back in the mid-’70’s in Sedalia, Missouri at a 3 day rock festival. The most awesome and professionally promoted 3 day show of the lot from that era.
Hope the Eagles refrain from the Republican bashing in the new recording...I’d hate to add them to my ever growing stupid entertainer list I keep.

The Eagles were put together from the LA Music Union to go on tour with Linda Ronstadt, way back when. Parts of that touring group with Linda, went on to become the Eagles.

"In the spring of 1971, Frey and Henley were hired to play in Linda Ronstadt's backup band. Meisner and Leadon also played backup to Ronstadt during her summer tour, though the four only did one gig together, at Disneyland in July. They did, however, all appear on Ronstadt's next album, Linda Ronstadt, released in early 1972. In September 1971, Frey, Henley, Leadon, and Meisner signed with manager David Geffen, agreeing to record for his soon-to-be-launched label, Asylum Records; soon after, they adopted the name the Eagles. In February 1972, they flew to England and spent two weeks recording their debut album, Eagles, with producer Glyn Johns. It was released in June, reaching the Top 20 and going gold in a little over a year and a half, following the release of two Top Ten hits, "Take It Easy" and "Witchy Woman," and one Top 20 hit, "Peaceful Easy Feeling."
