Sometimes the propaganda is so obvious it’s almost funny.
An elderly Iraqi woman shows two bullets which she says hit her house following an early coalition forces raid in the predominantly Shiite Baghdad suburb of Sadr City. At least 175 people were slaughtered on Tuesday and more than 200 wounded when four suicide truck bombs targeted people from an ancient religious sect in northern Iraq, officials said. To make it even tastier, there’s another one from July 10, 2007, apparently featuring the same woman, holding another unfired round:
An Iraqi elderly woman inspects a bullet which she says hit her bed during an alleged overnight raid by US and Iraqi troops in Baghdad’s impoverished district of Sadr City. Residents said two people were killed and four wounded during the raid. (AFP/Wissam al-Okaili)
Send treats to the troops...
Great because you did it!
Somebody must have THROWN them, because they haven’t been shot.
“Bullet Magnet Woman”, the long lost sister of “Bomb Magnet Woman.”
That’s too funny.
Now, now, mustn’t jump to conclusions. They might have been shot from a slingshot. Everybody knows the evil US coalition forces carry those.
Her eyebrows are obviously painted on. Understandable, since this was a well-planned performance for media cameras and she would have wanted to make sure and look her best. But what’s with the matching stripe running from just below the center of her lower lip to the bottom of her chin?
Bush did it! that’s the only answer.
this woman looks VERY familiar...
Do they have her name? How many times have they featured her stories?
I wonder if she’s related to green helmet guy from Lebanon or angry Muslim protester guy from Kashmir...then there was the real estate baroness in Lebanon last summer that lost multiple houses in bombing raids by the IAF...*rolls eyes*
Not being ugly about the Iraqis however they lie about 90% of the time. Ask any soldier that’s tried to work with ‘em.
Right. Sen. Spector is on his way
I think they are tatoos.
He called the police to report "Bullets hitting his roof". They got there and checked the gutters...
To find pristine unfired ammo he had thrown there.
In a perfect world, he would have been cuffed for filing a false report, and fallen down the stairs a few times on the way...
Sadly, the Local Finest had all they could do to keep from laughing.
Those are tattoos; quite common in that part of the world.
Those marks are tribal tatoos - common with older and traditional Arab women. She will have them on her hands as well.
They are very handsome decorations and universally admired - probably you are jealous!
