Republicans Bruise One Another In State Budget Brawl (Arnold a Republican? BWAHAHAHA Alert)
Los Angeles Times ^ | 08/16/2007 | George "Slumberin" Skelton

Arnold Schwarzenegger became the first governor in memory -- at least going back to Pat Brown -- to parachute into the district of a legislator of his own party and exhort citizens to browbeat their representative into voting his way....

Senate Republicans assert that's not enough.

"They're phony reductions," says Sen. Tom McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks). He cites one example: Schwarzenegger would "save" $160 million by delaying a Medi-Cal payment for one month, shoving it into the next fiscal year.

He adds: "What the governor says and what the governor does are two distinctively different things."

We all know George "Slumberin" Skelton is a Far Lefty. But what he says about this being an alleged Republican Party brawl is NOT true. Red Arnold has NOT been governing like a Republican but like a Democrat and that's why he has NO leverage over his party, which he has ignored for much of the past year by cutting deals with Democrats in his political interest and pursing what can only be described as an Austrosocialist agenda. That's many things but a Republican Party agenda it ain't. Arnold Schwarzenkennedy is a Republican In Name Only. The state budget he and the Democrats support is far from balanced. You'd expect the Los Angeles Times Sacramento Bureau Chief to know that. But he's a journalist who wears a partisan Far Left hat - when it comes to California politics and its no different in his latest column. The only person right in this entire standoff has been Tom McClintock. At least he's fighting for principle - common sense sanity in how California raises and spends its money. Red Arnold and the Democrats are fighting to keep the destructive budget status quo intact til next year.

How long before he just gives up the charade and announces he is changing parties?? I wish he would. Though then we would hear the same nonsense from the intelligentsia... The GOP is too far to the right. Republicans cannot win unless they move to the “center,” blah blah blah.

Schwarzenkennedy is showing the effect of sleeping with the enemy and too many years on the steroids.....

All the ladies in the state who thought they were voting for the Terminator - got something quite different....

He has proved to be a poison pill for the Party and the State...

Exactly what a mediocre moderate like Rudy would do to the party on the national level should he get elected president.

Never, never, never, never, NEVER-EVER vote for the RINO just because he “might win” over voting for the Conservative candidate.
Never, never, never—You end up with a badly wounded GOP, at best.
(Think Guiliani.)
Never, never, never.
