I remember the thread here at FR about that a few days ago. I noticed on the World Earthquake map at the USGS there is a LOT of activity on all shorelines of the Pacific in the last week. And, especially in the last 24 hours. Here is the current picture from the USGS -- Red boxes are earthquakes in the last hour, Orange in the last day, yellow in the last week... If we have enough volcanos go off, we won’t have to worry about GW.

Volcano’s in Ethiopia, Indonesia, Alaska, Peru, and recently in Utah....potential tsunami’s, etc. Sounds like the sub surface of the earth is tap dancing all over the place...wonder why?

Hmmm, quake in Japan, then Malaysia, then California, then Peru, okay, plate in arrested rotation, popping loose at subsequent points around the perimeter as stresses, relieved elsewhere, concentrate at distant points later on.

Not so much scientific suopport for this wild theory of mine, but hey, it feels good to me.

But now, instead of the plate settling down after stress was relieved on all sides, we see more stress release on the “originating” side.

Does this mean more pressure building up on our side?

Time will tell.

Maybe the sub earth has always rumbled to some extent only now we have seizmographs, etc, and instant communication. If an earthquake happened in 1920 in the outback of some place and no body felt it....we just never knew.

I would think Algore would be concerned that nature is taking its course. If he thinks that earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are on the same plane as man made global warming, he is stupider than I ever imagined.
