That’s the point of the question.

The asker intends that abortion remain completely legal, in any and all circumstances, and even paid for by people who oppose it.

The answer is - there will be no crime to punish if there is no provider willing to do the crime.

It’s a ploy by the abortionists, but it’ll be short lived. Discussions like this one will help... and next time they try it, the protestor with a camera suddenly shoved in his face WILL have an answer.

On another note, I had forgotten just how much I detest Anna Quindlen and her smug elite self-righeousness.

And you'll notice that the vast majority of FReepers who answered the question off the cuff got it right:

No penalty for the woman. Prison for the butcher.
