I was listening to the news out of the corner of my ear when I heard FreeRepublic specifically mentioned as a "hate site" about fifteen minutes ago.
Ostensibly the long report was about the Klan using the web to recruit new wackos. Then the focus turned to Casa Maryland, and their director who claimed that calls for his murder had circulated on the internet by anti-immigrant bigots. It was then that the anchor identified FR by name as a hate site.
Most of all we hate people who say FR is a hate site.
LOL. Very true.
I know that free advice is worth what you paid for it, but along with talking to someone from Fox5 you might want to consider inviting them to see for themselves the pure volume of posts that are generated at FR headquarters and encourage them to see just how few posts are even remotely “hateful”.

I just read on Freerepublic.com, that someone at your media outlet referred to Freerepublic as a “hate site”.
That’s just silly.
Go to the site.
If you know anything about it, you will know the site is monitored 24/7 by a group of totally rambunctious moderators, who will obliterate any post hinting of any sort of “hate” faster than you can say Daily KOS.
You cannot however, say that about... the Daily KOS.
Go to Freerepublic.com. See for yourself.
Then you might post an apology there.
It would be appropriate.

Raise a question about ex-wives and divorce and you can drum up the hate real fast from the resident FR He Man Woman Haters Club.
You reap what you sow. You can find ample evidence to support “FR is a hate site” on any immigration thread you care to mention ... and these days, damned near everything turns into an immigration thread.
On the flip side, got to DU, and every other statement can be like that sometimes.
And one in particular is Bill O'Reilly.

In there determination to redefine words, they have just about succeeded with the word “hate”. These references to what is posted here are bold faced lies. Anytime a mod happens to miss an abusive post, the “report abuse” button is pushed and they remove the post. I am glad Kristinn is following up on this. This is slander.

Lies are de rigeur for demonizing an opponent.

FR posters do hate things like dishonesty. Is that what you mean?
