He deliberately lied about FR. What do you need, lady? It’s not the truth he’s pursuing when he invited JimRob on his show. It’s not weakness to tell BOR to flake off when a potential guest can see that BOR’s desire to create news on his show is more important than bringing truth to the public.
BOR is trying to create a circus, from which he can manipulate the truth to damage FR. Participating in that circus would be idiotic.

I am new here, Chena, and want to choose my words carefully. I watched Kristinn on BOR show. Mr. O’Reilley ate him up. He wouldn’t let Kristinn get a word in edgewise - and Kristinn didn’t deserve that. He threw some papers in Kristinn’s face, stating that that is what he got ‘today’ on FR, quoting some vile stuff. Kristinn didn’t have a chance to preview the ‘evidence’ being thrown out by Mr. O’R. Even the slimiest attorny wouldn’t pull that in the courtroom.
I would NEVER consider being a ‘guest’ of a ‘host’ like that.

Jim, I have respect for you, but your response was completely out of line. I am completely flabberghasted by your response to her. She wasn’t being nasty to you. Only voicing what a number of us have thought. Since I have met you several times, I think I know why you don’t appear. But I could be wrong. Regardless, I think you owe her an apology.
Uh, I think this was about her dig regarding fighting one’s own battles.

I didn't know Kristinn had already been on BOR, and that he was treated badly. I guess there's no point in appearing if you can't get a word in edgewise.
It ticks me off though. What O'reilly said about FR is a flat out lie.

I saw Kristinn that night on O’Reilly’s show. I know that the segments on those shows never allow for everyone to say what they came to say, but I felt bad for Kristinn too. However, in spite of the interruptions and time constraints, I felt that Kristinn did a great job. I don’t feel that FR should be compared to KOS or DU. They aren’t anywhere near comparable as far as hate speech goes. But I have gone on the record, so to speak (not Greta’s record...har har) as saying that I have seen for myself that hate speech does happen here on FR. I cannot lie about that, I have seen it with my own eyes.
Anyhow, it was just my opinion that JR should defend himself, in person, since he is the owner of this website. The next time I decide to encourage someone to stand up and speak for themselves and/or defend themselves, I will remember that not everyone appreciates such advice.
Fighting one's own battles is NOT a dig. It's what we taught our children when they were growing up and they never said to us, "up yours". Our children are now grown and they are respectful to others and they do stand up for themselves. One of them even stood up and defended your right to life, Jim, in Iraq!

As for what I said on the other thread, are you going to deny that there has never been, nor is there, any hateful speech being posted by anonymous posters on FR? Truth is not a sin...not even here on FR...right?

I am sorry that you felt you were insulted by my saying that one should fight one's own battles. Would it have been better if I had suggested that you remain silent and let others fight your battles for you? Personally, I think THAT would have been an insult.

O’Reilly should have verified his accusations and/or apologized if he was proven wrong. I’m not making excuses for Bill O’Reilly. He should know better than to wave around a few pages and spout off a few examples without having done his own research. Be that as it may, my main point was that sometimes one needs to stand up and shout to the hills if one believes they have been wronged.
Why? So BOR can call him a liar like you just did? FR is not a hate site....never was a hate site and yet you defend those that would defame it using the same logic that they do.
What exactly do you think you are going to gain from this smack in the face? ...Some sort of authoritarian school rush or maybe you just want to apply for the moderator job?
