The Chicago Tribune is reducing its page size slightly, a...See, that's what the Tribune (and NYT) should do to reduce news print---just not end their sentences.

This will be the second reduction in page size in recent years. It would make sense if they would reduce it a bit further, say to 4.5 inch squares on a roll. Then we might find a reason to buy the Tribune again.

The Chicago Tribune is reducing its page size slightly, a step being taken increasingly by U.S. newspapers I see the MSM is receding in size.
All the disappointed people, raise your hands...
I thought so... : )

Chicago Tribune Reducing Page Size
It said the cost-saving move will result in "an improved reader and advertising experience."

Print is dead.
The other day I actually picked up a paper copy of USAToday and laughed out loud. It’s a mere wisp of its former self—useless and irrelevant.

When they make the print version of the newspaper small enough to have it come out on the other side through an I-Pod, they will have preserved the newspaper as a viable product for the future...
Of course, will the next generation want to wash off tiny smudges of newprint from their fingertips?

(The Fairness Doctrine should be applied to people who follow the rules to come to America legally)
No real Americans read this rag. The news Bureau is staffed with hate America leftists who twist the news to support their anti-USA agenda. In the Trib’s world, Muslim terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals are victims and American soldiers and policemen the real enemy. Chicago will be a better place when the paper ceases circulation altogether.

Interesting you said that because I expect many newspapers to switch to the tabloid printing format due to its potentially lower printing costs.
In New York City, both the Post and Daily News use the tabloid format because it's easier to hold and read when riding public transit (which the majority of New Yorkers do).

The media-government complex have worked for two generations to make the electorate feral and sub-literate. Now their idiotic newspapers are not being read by the barbarians. Poetic justice.
