Decisions Upend Judges' Lives (Judge George Greer at AMA Annual Meeting)
CAL Law ^ | August 13, 2007 | Mike McKee

Posted on 08/19/2007 3:41:17 AM PDT by amdgmary

More than two years after enraging right-wing groups by ordering Terry Schiavo's feeding tube removed, George Greer still peers over his shoulder nervously at times.

In fact, the Florida judge told a rapt audience Friday at the American Bar Association's annual meeting, he even used an alias when he registered at his San Francisco hotel on this trip.

Two years ago, he said, someone in the Bay Area threatened to kill him over his decision to end life support for the brain-damaged Schiavo. And even though that person was prosecuted and jailed, Greer said, he's taking no chances.

"It is a little unnerving," he said. "I still can't see a strange car come down my street without wondering [who's behind the steering wheel]."

Greer talked about he and his wife had to be placed under 24-hour watch after Operation Rescue posted their home address and phone number on its Web site. All of their mail was checked by authorities and on one occasion dead flowers were delivered to their condominium with a note reading, "No Food, No Water" — a reference to Schiavo.

"It got to the point," Greer said, "that we felt a little trapped in our apartment."

Whether “Christians” forgive Greer or not is completely irrelevant.

You are one hundred percent correct, as Jesus never intended for his followers to have forgiveness in their hearts. You are spot on.

[George Greer still peers over his shoulder nervously at times.]

Hebrews “ It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement.”

And God is not a respector of persons, murder of innocents is a great crime before the one true God of Israel.

You have the only inside track for yourself.

No doubt about it.

Anyway.

Wasn't it Oral Roberts who was visited by a 10 foot Jesus? This is what I mean by an inside track.

Oral Roberts? Yes, it's possible the University had a rather tall hispanic basketball player named Jesus. Ten foot tall? That may be embellishment.

May the easter bunny bring you a ten foot tall chocolate Jesus, by the way.

I don't think Oral was telling the world he had a tall Hispanic basketball player in his bedroom, or even a gardener.

Pretty sure he told everyone that a 10 foot Jesus came to talk to him.

Just Googled it. I'm sorry that I was wrong about the 10 foot Jesus, Oral saw a 900 foot Jesus that told him not to worry about being broke.

Now I cant wait for the Easter Bunny to bring me a 900 foot Chocolate Jesus. This is going to be great.

Left wing kooks make death threats against conservatives all the time, but they just don’t hold a press conference about it. The left always loves to be victims.

The man is a scumbag and a murderer. May he be cursed to the end of his life.

Did Terries diet and exercise regime contribute to her initial stroke / passing out?

Judge Greer should of made sure she ate a healthy diet, and who knows this whole ordeal could of been avoided.

I do not blame Terri, she is just a victim.
Damn you to hell, Judge Greer.

==> “...unwillingness of Christians to forgive Greer.” <==

Repentance is the prerequisite to forgiveness. This monster remains a danger to every one of us in dire circumstances, not merely for his personal actions but for the effects of them, propagated through the system by its limitations and strictures. A mass murderer would have to be sentenced to death by unanimous recommendation of 12 jurors. Mnr. Greer (Mnr. being my abbreviation for “Monster”) seized the sole power of life and death over this helpless woman, and
imposed on her a burden that no American should EVER be forced to bear - to prove her own fitness to live.

He deserves every insult, every ignominy, and every imprecation short of physical threat or assault, until he admits his error, begs forgiveness, and devotes the rest of his life to undoing the terrible harm he has done. Only then will he have earned forgiveness.

No, I am NOT a christian.
